Rough go for Marcin.

Great composure and patients from Sabotta, Saunders got wrecked.

Just see so few paths to victory for Glover here... other than taking an eyepoke dq ofc.

Well, seems like Gus didn't lose his step. Will be fun to see him fight DC/Jones again.
05-28-2017 , 04:09 PM
Jonesesque in his eye poking and running, but yeah seems like he hasn't lost a step indeed. Dude has some beautiful combinations.

Rumblesque in hitting his opponents to the face from a low angle with his fists, Joe.

Damn, Dana just straight up saying with I've been saying about Conor taking this fight:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ct4JHIppjOM&t=7m40s

That's about what I guessed he'd make 60-70 to Floyd's 120+, and from there I've always said he's not coming back for MMA paychecks unless he goes broke.

Would prbly be willing to fight Diaz again for 15-20 tho. Can't see him wanting 9 for fighting Khabib.

i think the TUF stoppage was fine

Those Gus gifs are a thing of beauty - stunning and tactically perfect performance all round. Hoping JJ beats DC and then we see Gus/JJ 2 for Xmas.

The amount of punishment glover took was truly unreal

It was a great performance, but I think the eye poke taints it a lil. Glover oddly got no time to recover from it. Not sure on the rules but refs usually give guys a lil bit afterwards but Glover was told fight now or we call it. He went back to his corner saying he couldn't see. Then Gus put his fingers in Glovers face for the rest of the fight Jones style.

Also wasn't a big fan of the running. That really only works on super flat footed guys like Glover.

Anyways his hands looked the best they ever have. Definitely excited for Gus vs Jones/DC winner and I really wasn't before this fight.

What was with the Cirkunov KO?

Seems like he got hit in the perfect spot behind the ear, but that was one of the weakest looking KO punches I can remember. And he was out like a light.

Is that a fluke? Seems concerning

Yeah, perfect placement but it looked very strange to me. Seemed to have hardly any power in it but he dropped instantly.

Your brain subconsciously prepares you when you're about to get punched, punches you don't see or expect can put you out with a lot lighter of a punch.

Wow this makes perfect sense but I'd never thought of it like that

Do we think this says anything about Cirkunov going forward? He was looking like a potential contender but not if he goes down that easily

Makes you realize how hard Rumble hits to effectively one punch KO him

Yeah really....Rumble doing that to him and beating Gus look even better on the CV after the weekend.
05-30-2017 , 04:05 PM
In case anybody missed it, after being retired for like 2 hours, Rumble was already teasing a comeback following the main

05-30-2017 , 06:57 PM
Also shows you how insane Cormiers chin is. I'm really bummed we never got Rumble vs Jones, I think there is a decent chance Rumble ko's him.
