willie,

You seriously liked the prelim fights? Aside from the like 2 finishes they were all boring as hell with little engagement.

Yeah he looked pretty good. Brenneman's not an easy guy to shuck off and hit/hurt. You seem to have a better handle on this than tennis btw.

*Yeah the fights were generally meh but but the FOX production just made the whole thing unbearable and that was watching on delay. Other than Florian on commentary everything else sent me begging for nails on a chalkboard. Seeing MMA get "FOX'd" like that just sucks. There seemed to be 0 continuity to the telecast.

This. The downtime killed my 2p2 desire.

What? You think someone would just do something unethical like that on the internet?

Probably. This screams 'paycheck' to me. If BJ hasn't been well-motivated in years, what are the odds he shows up for this fight?

According to Dana, the Brock went horribly. I thought it was odd he would publicly say it, but he called it the worst meeting he's ever had with Brock.

He may already be a top ten WW, imo. Obviously doesn't have the resume yet, but I'd easily favor him today over a few of the guys hanging out in the 8-12 range.

I'm very high on Silva. Some talk about him facing Diego Sanchez next, which I like. Sanchez is #12 on the BE consensus rankings, so it keeps him moving forward in the division. It also gives Silva a recognizable name to help push him, and it should be an exciting fight. Silva would batter him, but Sanchez may at least test his cardio.

Diego has nothing for Silva. If Brenneman can't take Silva down or control him against the cage what's Diego gonna do? Beat him in the stand up? lol.

WOW!! Aldo out too now.

So Silva, JBJ and JDS are the only two non-injured champs, huh?

Re: EDF MMA/lutte fil Juin 2012

lol so the Pacquiao fight is delayed because he wanted to watch the NBA game before warming up.
Also to fill some time they are evaluating all the judges, bizarre. Apparently there's one good judge, one very questionable since she might get influenced by the crowd, and a good one that might be shook up because he messed up his last fight. Interesting stuff

Wear him out maybe? Diego doesn't have the cardio he used to though.

I could not believe what I was watching there. Acting as though he was a neophyte to boxing. Bizarre.

I seldom watch boxing anymore for a reason, and I am reminded without fail every time I make an exception.
