Re: EDF MMA/fighting G'Day Hot Chicks Thread

I roll with a new guy who is a known roid user and about 235, I am about 180. I can sweep him no problem and if I get side control or any dominate spot he spazzes to sit up but he cant. Like I said he is pretty much brand new, its not because I am good even, but its damn hard to just get a guy off you. I am not making fun of you or anything, this is a common misconception when a guy gets taken down.

This discussion is pretty lol. Meisha Tate could roll through a 200lb untrained man, let alone Cruz. Cruz could beat 5 of you at the same time and it wouldn't be close.

I'm in full agreement that men r stronger than girls. But for the bjj guys out there, is Rhonda pulling off armbars against 135 lb d1 wrestlers with no bjj training in a straight bjj match?

How many Cruz's vs a Silverback Gorilla though?

In a straight BJJ match yes I think so, especially in the gi when she can grab on. The word "untrained" is the big thing. With a bit of BJJ defense training they would be rapidly become harder and harder to catch.

I know Eddie Wineland fights at 135 and was deadlifting 400+ in the primetime for example.
Yeah, against a guy with a 400lb deadlift I am definitely going to be SOL because that's more than mine, but wasn't there a video not too long ago of Jon Jones deadlifting 375 or something and he's the ****ing LHW champion. Obviously everyone's going to jump at genetics etc. but strength is strength.

fwiw I weigh a little over 200 and have considerably more fat than Cruz but also considerably more muscle mass. I'm not saying I'd win I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised.

I remember a while back my brother was showing me some stuff he learned from a guy(I will get his name because my bro made it seem like he was relelvant) and everything he tried to use against me was just comical because I could just smash my brother with zero effort.

Less than 10? I see the gorilla being befuddled by Cruz's footwork.

She'll throw strikes that look better, but they'll be so much slower and weaker it won't matter.
yes. this is right. people who are focusing on striking training are looking at it the wrong way. the question is, can you avoid getting tossed and subbed? if so, you would win. it would take about an hour to teach any reasonably athletic guy enough striking technique to murder her on the feet.

in response to the question of ronda vs a random dude in open weight MMA... i think once the guy gets to be over a certain size (i'm thinking about 180 pounds), if he is even minimally athletic she has almost no path to victory. give him a week to drill defensive grappling and she is in big trouble.

dominick cruz would make you his bitch in under 2 minutes. (and me too).

there was a video a while back of Tate having trouble with an out of shape guy with minimal training. While wrestling is the dominant skill in MMA, an untrained person would have a much better chance vs a wrestler than against a BJJer. It's very difficult to overcome 60 lbs and a significant strength disadvantage in wrestling.

That said, your average untrained guy is going to gas pretty damn fast.

Re: EDF MMA/fighting G'Day Hot Chicks Thread

This is literally the most retarded discussion in the history of this thread, worse than every rant and flamewar I've ever had. The complete ignorance to the mechanics of submission grappling and the degree of technical skill involved brings shame upon your families. Google dunning krugger please, good lawd

Re: EDF MMA/fighting G'Day Hot Chicks Thread

two fights to look at:

Sapp vs Big Nog - Nog is one of the GOAT HWs and had a lot of trouble because the size/strength advantage was too much.

Sapp vs Fujita - Fujita was strong enough to drop Sapp on his head.

If any one of you 200lb high school wrestlers want to pop in to a legitimate Judo or BJJ facility such as Pedro's in Wakefield, I can promise you there are teenage boys, 130lb girls, and 70yo men who will all gladly pull you to the ground and submit you over and over at will.
