The worst part about the Jones-Henderson fight is that it's 5 rounds.

Henderson has too many losses in his prime and too many razor close decisions among his biggest wins for me to consider him the GOAT. SIX of his biggest wins are by split decision, and several of those were BS. He earned the nickname 'Decision Dan'.

Plus, as was mentioned above, there's no prolonged excellence from Henderson. He's been "very good but not the best" for basically his whole career. He was never the greatest at any point in time, so how can he be the greatest of all time?

EDIT: If he beats Jones, the argument is closer, because he'll be the #1 LHW in the world (and it adds another massive win to his resume). I'm not sure he's ever been #1 in a weight class at any point in time. It might depend on which ranking you're looking at.

hes not going to beat jones and if he does from a home run swing, hes still pretty far from goat status. Its like saying korean zombie is better than hom or tito is better than bader, theres tons of variance in fights, anyone can get caught on the chin. Its another story if hendo can grind out a decision or win in any other fashion than a one punch ko.

goat is a dumb discussion anyways, on the same boat as p4p best fighter. Its almost impossible to compare fighters during different time spans since the game is evolving so much. Jones in his prime would crush tito in his prime, who would probably crush shamrock in his prime and i honestly don't think that adds any value to their goat status.
