He's pretty weak and you couldn't muscle out of a kimura? How low were your t-levels? But yes, definitely steamroll him and let him know you guys know he talks ****. Maybe say, "Damn, I'm pretty good, I just tapped a high blue, maybe purple belt!"

Re: EDF MMA/fighting April Thread

Well I mean I could of just lifted him off the ground or rolled, but I figured it was friendly and just tapped so we could keep going. Apparently that = tapping me at will, who knew.

He doesn't know that we know he said all this stuff (obviously) so its interesting.

Re: EDF MMA/fighting April Thread

Meh I don't like everyone conspiring against him to go 100% on him and steamroll him. Kinda sneaky & douchey and not really fair. Especially since you're going off one persons hear say.

I'd probably have one person, not the whole gym, confront him right when he got their or even before hand. Seems like the only honest thing to do.

He should be pretty caught off guard and it'll be easy to tell if he's lying or not.

-If he lies, tell him to gtfo and not to come back. You shouldn't need to crush some tard for your schools rep. Anyone who matters will know your schools rep from tourny's/the fighters it produces.

-If he admits to it and apologizes and says it won't happen again just allow him to join class normally.

-If he acts like an ego filled douche bag call him out for either full MMA sparring or if he scurred, a tourney styled roll.

You should have someone filming just in case he acts like a douche but turns down the offer, so you can refute any more of his nonsensical claims.

Re: EDF MMA/fighting April Thread

I mean, we go hard usually anyways, he was just newer so I never really went 110% on him, but I don't see why I shouldn't now. Regardless he said some bad stuff about 2 of my other friends and whether I like it or not they are looking forward to Monday. Like I said would never be a dick and like crank anything or hurt him, but humbling him a bit seems fine to me. I know a lot of people who do much worse.

I think I might be getting belt tested the day before so I might be a little to wrecked for no gi the next day anyways... but well see haha.

Don't worry about what some idiot has to say behind your back. Are you learning jits to improve yourself or to have a reason to brag? Let him know he talked out of turn and then give him the same treatment you would give any other spazzy white belt.

Guy that I kind of knew years ago, lives out of town now but comes to my town every once and awhile. Does no gi bjj, seems to be one of those guys that thinks 10th planet is the real jiu jitsu, the gi is worthless, fine whatever. He has only actually trained at a actual gym like 20 times tops, most of his experience comes from training with friends at their place etc. He has shown up to no gi at our club twice, hes ok, I would say hes a 1 or 2 stripe white maybe, has a ok guard, long legs, zero top game and is worthless if you pass on him.

Anyways he came like 3 months ago, rolled with a few of us. He definitively got worked, I think he tapped a brand new guy but the regulars beat him soundly. I rolled with him after, we were swapping some deep half guard talk and I presumed we were going light and I pulled deep half on him right away and was just messing around. About 30 seconds in I realize he is going 125% and is full spazzing, so I am like ok its on I guess. I sweep him and pass to side and just put some pressure on him from side control and he taps... lol. Start again he shoots on me and I guillotine him right away. 3rd time I realize hes pretty.. weak, and not that great so I pull guard and go back to working some new half guard stuff not really caring. He grabs a kimura on me and wont let go, spend about 2 minutes in a battle and he starts getting it. Instead of rolling or trying to really fight it, I just tap, no biggie were just training.

Ok so where is this going?

About a month ago, a friend of a bunch of the guys at the club who works at a gym somewhere else told us he came in, talking about how embarrassing it was at our place, everyone was terrible and he tapped all of us multiple times, said how he heard some of us were getting their blues soon and that was a joke. Says he tapped me with ease etc. The guy doesn't train bjj (this was a lifting gym) and asked him what belt he is. He said I don't train in the gi its stupid, but I would easily rank myself a high blue maybe purple.

So the problem is, we let this guy come and go whenever, I have asked him to come out more etc, been nice to him, never gone hard on him etc, and he goes around **** talking when he literally got stomped by anyone who has more then a few months experience. The reason I am telling you all this is he wrote on your club wall that he is going to be dropping in Monday, wondering if we will be open for the holiday. What is my play? A couple of my friends are really pissed off because he said more stuff about a couple of them, went farther about how bad they were etc. I said we should be nice, not be retards, but maybe film the rolling at the end of class and not hold back at all on him. I don't mean hurt him or be a dick, but I wasn't going that hard on him in our roll, and you know for damn sure I will be asking him to start on the feet and will be pushing the pace this time.
Maybe he was the one taking it easy on you noob, duh. Just own him. Or don't. Who cares. For the most part I do think it's up to the gym and its members to humble studs like this.

Re: EDF MMA/fighting April Thread

it would be so funny if the guy steamrolls caught_clean's gang of bluebelts. "ye i saw ur post on 2p2 bitch"

no but really, just let him roll with that 5 year old olympic judoka girl. that should put him in his place.

How does "soccer require no talent" rank among @shiiieeeetDanaWhitesays? Top10 dumbest?

Re: EDF MMA/fighting April Thread

Saying it requires no talent is definitely retarded, but I would a agree it requires some of the least athleticism of the major sports.

Still saying is clearly stupid and horrible PR.

it's probably the most competitive sport in the world, so what make the top-players stand out from the rest?

It's the most played sport around the world because it requires the least equipment. poor kids in Brazil or Africa etc can play soccer because all it really requires is a ball. Then you can make goals out of rocks/trees.

Unlike most other sports which require a large amount of equipment.

Talent makes them stand out from the rest. Similar to how many of the greatest baseball players of all time were fat out of shape white guys. They were just very talented at hitting the ball/pitching it.

Soccer is very hard to be good at don't get me wrong. I'm just saying it tends to not produce very good athletes or require very good athletes. Well maybe condition athletes similar to Nick Diaz.

When I think of athletics though I think of speed, strength, jumping ability, quickness etc. I might be programmed to think this way because I'm an American and these are the traits of most American sports...

But whatever, I can beat up 99% of soccer players so they can suck it those jogging/part time actor Nancy boys
