there is some chance they are fakes

Why are they stolen?

I routinely sell clothes I find at 80% off for 65% off if the margins are high enough and I don't do it for a living. My guess is they have some connection with high end department stores who push off their last season unsold merchandise to them for very cheap.

If their feedback rating is good, you are probably ok.

Eh. Most people are horrendous at spotting fakes on Ebay.

Ok, thanks. I guess I'll be taking them back. What else should you be looking for on Ebay other than the seller's rating?

Specific feedback concerning fake items. I would go through their negative feedback if you are really worried.

This is the only way I'd do it. You can look at people selling Xbox items from China and their feedback will be mid-90s with 100% fake items. Same for bulk Polo shirt sales and etc.

Keep that in mind the next time you spot someone with the world's worst Polo and he talks about how cheap they are from Eba.

Speaking of which, where to all the sports jerseys on ebay come from? I have about a 100% success rate in getting what I want when ordering them and of course they are selling for a fraction of their retail price.

(Probably) stupid tailoring question.

I bought a suit last year and had it tailored to fit me. Since that time I've lost nearly 50 pounds. Obviously that suit is pretty much a lost cause, right?

I want to buy a new suit (wedding coming up and I need to start stockpiling suits for summer associate interviews in a year anyways), but estimate I have 15-20 pounds of weight loss remaining. Is it going to be possible to get it altered/re-tailored in another 4-6 months without it being a total lost cause, or can not too much be done to change the overall size of a suit?

Karak,

Yes. Depends.

I think 15-20 should be no problem for a good tailor to fix. in fact I've gained about 20 since I bought my last suit, just got it tailored, and it still feels great. but that is the max, the waist can't be taken out any more I don't think.

I also have a tux I bought around the same time which I got retailored and...the jacket still works but the pants are tight.

Would probably want to get a suit with a single rear vent instead of side vents as tailors can't bring in the jacket as much with side vents. I have a suit with a back vent that I lost 35 pounds and had altered and still fits great.

Two things:

1) Does anyone know of where I can buy Naked & Famous denim online? I've found like one store and no one carries the big slub slim guys.

2) Anyone interested in size 31 Somet 005s (black) at a discount? They've been hemmed to a 34.5" inseam with chainstitching by Blue in Green. Never worn.

what are you supposed to wear with solid color polos in the summer? i'm 23, i look asian and am 6'2" 170. i usually wear them with jeans (have a bunch), but at not sure what sort of shorts to wear them with in the summer. cargo shorts feel too bulky, but plain khaki shorts seem too dressy for what i'm going for. and on the same note, what kind of shoes?

fyi its just for a casual everyday look, and i wear my polos more on the fitted side (although not overwhelmingly so).

I wear khaki shorts and flip flops due to the local climate. You can get away with deck shoes are some sort of more casual variant to "dress down" your khaki shorts.

You're overstating how dressy khaki shorts are though. A polo and khaki shorts is pretty close to bottom end of casual.

I was referring to virtually every pair of khaki shorts ever made.

ETA: I just saw I misspoke above when I said "Bottom end of casual". That isn't what I meant. Perhaps... "Bottom end of clothes I'd be seen with outside". I don't know. Regardless, there aren't much levels below khaki/polo to slum it with outside. The shorts may or may not be a dressier upgrade over jeans and a polo is something other than a t-shirt to wear. Granted my t-shirts blow (see above questions), and I'm a young professional and not a college student anymore.

Tobi (subscribe to their mailing list. They have 20-40% off coupons every 3 weeks or so), Barney's, Rooney. Those are 3 places I've seen them.

Never had suede shoes before (or any boots at all for that matter) but they look like a winner.

Those are great. You might want to spray them with suede protector before you wear them.
