Looking for the new wayfarer (2132), 55m, tortoise/brown, non-polarized. Def not willing to spend $140 on it.

I've seen some deals on Amazon around $70, but don't feel like I can trust the sellers there.
Jomashop and Jet.com have good deals on sunglasses, and I've had multiple positive transactions with each. In fact, I bought some ray-bans from Jomashop. Jet doesn't appear to have tortoise in 55mm right now, but that could change. Jomashop doesn't have with brown lenses but has close with gold lenses. You can watch those sites for further discounts.

I had to return these. The burnishing defects were really bad. Color was all over the place.

It's a bit of a crap shoot. I've gotten four pairs of AE seconds. Three I was happy with. One the defect was front and center, so I got them to exchange. They wanted a $10 restocking fee or something, but I complained and got it waived.

Thanks. Searching slickdeals I actually came across those 2 sites as good potential sources, but like you saw, they didn't have quite what I was looking for.

I'm debating if I want to settle for the green lenses, but I really prefer the solid brown. Those gold ones you linked are also close, but that's also the light havana frame - I prefer the darker tortoise shell.

I had good luck buying *slightly* used sunglasses on ebay. I feel like you can get a good sense from the seller (and what type of seller they are) to know whether or not you're getting a fake (a low/medium volume seller with good feedback who can tell you where he bought them is unlikely to be flipping fakes) and you can also get good prices that way

There are few things that I just suck it up on and pay sticker price. Rayban, likely one of the most counterfeited brands in the world, is one of those.

You can sometimes find good deals on sunglasses at sierra trading post. I picked up some Randolph polarized aviators for like $45. The problem is that their supply is totally unpredictable.

I'm actually tempted to just pick up some replicas for $20 that are considered "the best replicas", but they only have the green lenses and not the brown.

If they're comfortable for you, I think they are fine.

Anyone have any experience with Norwegian Rain?

Very tempted by this jacket:

I don't know the brand but I like the jacket. It seems a bit overworked though.

Last month of shaving for a while..
Beard trimmer rec's?

Thinking my face probably isn't the place to try and save $30. The stainless steel Wahls look nice.
Otoh, being a somewhat novice and not having much counter space in the bathroom, I wonder if the fewer attachment, no frills Remington would be a better choice.

OK so I haven't been home to try them, but my sister was there yesterday and said the first "MUST be returned" and didn't seem to love the 2nd either

How do you guys like this one? Say I have to keep one, which would you go with of the 3?

If you want to appeal to the largest number go as generic as possible. Black on black, low top, canvas converse.

Are there any good guidelines re: low vs. high tops and white vs. black sole?

Like does some combo go better with shorts?

The low black only ones I might wear, but a factor you aren't telling us about these is the quality.

They are very high quality, all Lanvin

The top 2 were $650 retail and the 3rd was $500 retail, but all cost ~$325

Wouldn't have thought the top two were Lanvin. I have ones similar to the bottom ones in all gray suede that I got for $350 in a Mr. Porter sale. They aren't my most comfortable sneakers. A little tight and a little stiff. Even though I do still like their look, I wouldn't spend that much for them in retrospect. I only wear them like once a month.

I live in Bergen, Norway the same city as the guys behind Norwegian Rain. I might be a bit biased but their jackets are brilliant.

It rains like 300ish days a year here and everything they do is made to look good in **** whether. Their jackets fit brilliantly on an athletic frame, if you're bit bigger consider sizing up. They cost a bit, but imo nothing comes close to their stuff if your in to tailored construction quality and keeping dry.

I own the Moscow jacket my self and a lot of my friends own their other stuff. Would highly recommend!

The Woodlands having a big clearance today on specific items from last season. A lot of it has been picked through, but still some good items left, and it's all one or two items left in that size. I had the Howlin Disco Devil Knit that is still available in M in my cart for S but it got stolen before I checked out. I did end up getting a wings+horn henley, reigning champ sweats and national athletic goods tee.
