Re: Documentaries

Think this might have already been posted here 5min docu about thai footbon team http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU4oA3kkAWU

Just watched Catfish other day. surprised by it a lot actually. Had some preconceptions but happy about the final parts of the film. I was pretty bored with the first part seemed a bit long winded.

Saw Dear Zachary as recommend here; very moving and emotional film. loved it.

Then saw Murder on a sunday morning not sure if it was recommended on here but was very good. About a young black teenager that is arrested for murder for pretty much being black and in the neighbourhood of the crime.

Sublime behind the music a look at the rise and fall of one of my favourite bands, maybe i just like this because of the band but it is a tragic story as well.

Documentary on lake Vostok. Theyre currently drilling into the lake and have already pierced into it.

Knuckle - Follows the long feuds of Irish traveling families and how they settle them with bare-knuckle boxing (see Snatch).
Certainly not the best made film and with the characters and stories shown I felt it could have been great. Good non the less.

absolutely. quite the story. It's absurd that **** like this can go down in a developed country.

There's actually a pretty compelling argument that they did it. At least way more than you ever see in Paradise Lost: http://wm3truth.com/the-west-memphis-three-were-guilty/ I firmly believed they were 100% innocent until I read pretty much every argument down the left hand side on that site. Much more doubt now. One thing I found fairly intriguing is that the Paradise Lost series kept changing their alternative suspects.

Re: Documentaries

I found a site which links to a lot of documentaries which can be streamed online. (some hosted on youtube)
http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/all/

I'm not sure how often they add new ones as I only stumbled upon the site a few days ago, but they have several hundred documentaries, sorted by category and with a description.

This site is pretty great. Organized and all documentaries I have watched worked no dead links. Thanks.

Re: Documentaries

Just watched "The Cove" after recommendations on here and its definitely one of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

"Dear Zachary" was good too and a super compelling story, although the filmmaking was alot less polished/professional than The Cove imo
