Re: Documentaries

Not sure we are supposed to talk about politard docs in here ,but I thought the HBO Vice doc A House Divided was pretty good. I mean, at least you can ignore whatever Vice commentary you don't agree with, and you get to hear directly from a few members of Congress and Obama.

Yep just watched this. Quite well done I thought. Luntz is insufferable but had some good insights. Boehner was surprisingly interesting. Country seems effed at this point.

4/5
Just here to give a +1 on Finders Keepers. If ever a story cried out for a "strange but true" style documentary, it's this one.

Gringo: The Dangerous Life Of John Mcafee

We've all heard the vaguely crazy story of antivirus software pioneer John Mcafee. This doc investigates what Mcafee's lifestyle in Belize was actually like. He had a team of heavily armed security guards with him 24/7. He gave massive bribes to local law enforcement. He had dozens of hookers. He had a lab to do research for some kind of antibiotics, and allegedly drugged and raped the scientist he hired to run it. He had at least 2 people murdered. Then because lol-3rd-world-policeaments he never got caught doing anything illegal except having an unlicensed firearm. So he goes back to the US and runs for president, naturally.

Oh, and regarding the hookers, this is what he was into:

5/5, this is a must see.

At All Costs

Doc on Netfilx about AAU basketball. Pretty interesting. I didn't realize how much of a role AAU plays when it comes to kids getting to the next level

Becoming Warren Buffett

Becoming Warren Buffet

New documentary on HBO about Warren Buffett. Definitely worth seeing.

Nowhere are there in-depth discussions about balance sheets and cash flow, though there are flashy animations illustrating basic investing principles. Instead, the film focuses on how Warren Edward Buffett grew from the Nebraskan son of a congressman to become the Oracle of Omaha, the avuncular mascot of American capitalism who built Berkshire Hathaway into a $406 billion empire, and shows some of his warts along the way.

The legendary family is as known for their wild, excessive criminal ways as they are for their famous mountain dancing members, including Jesco White, the star of the cult classic documentary "Dancing Outlaw." Exploring both the comic and tragic sides of life on the other side of the law, this stylish, fast-paced family portrait exposes the powerful forces of corruption, poverty, and West Virginia's environmentally and culturally devastating coal mining culture that helped shape the White family, a dying breed of outlaws preserving a dying form of dance.
Bump just to remind everyone to watch this video, and also the Dancing Outlaw if you can find it. Jesco is the guy in my avatar. My brother called Jesco after we watched Dancing Outlaw. He ended up talking to him a couple of times. Eventually Jesco asked for my brother's phone number. That was the end of that.

Re: Documentaries

Road (2014)

Brothers addicted to speed. At any price. Motorcycle road racing is the most dangerous of all motor sports. One in which men compete at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour on closed country roads. Roads that are lined with trees, telegraph posts, stone walls. Ireland and the Isle of Man are two of the few places in the world where the sport still survives. Narrated by Liam Neeson, this is the dramatic and poignant story of two sets of brothers from Northern Ireland who have dominated road racing for over thirty years. Two generations of one family that have been united by success. And united by tragedy.

There are still threads on the old bluelight forums where he was asking about optimizing the "perv juice," a.k.a. alpha-PHP. Nice job from an internet security expert hiding his identity online instead of doing grey-area chemistry in a third-world country behind cracked security with dickholes from Vice.

P.S. To the NSA, I would like to point out I am still shucking bubba to trannies on 4chan, and have no involvement in drugs.

EDIT: Unless the CIA needs someone to move those poppies out of Afghanistan to keep the black ops rolling. Then you can trace my IP, and we can talk.

Watched the first 4 episodes last night, possibly the most disturbing story I have heard.
