Re: Disc Golf/Frolf!!!

So I went to play a round at red oak in burnsville mn, its one of my fave courses around and def the best free and close course, ended up playing with 2 guys that do a majority of the work on the course and after I finished my round out with them one gave me a star wraith like new.

1st round of the summer 2nd of year and I'm running hot

Re: Disc Golf/Frolf!!!

Haven't been out to Red Oak this year. I have seen those guys out there working, very nice. Been playing a lot of Starring Lake when I am back in the suburbs, as I live in Minneapolis now. Don't know if you have played Little Canada but it is a pretty nice course if you want to make the trip.

I lost my Champion Boss and picked up a Star Destroyer, its my first Star disc and I can chuck it. Really glad I lost my boss and have consistently dropped a couple strokes off each 9.

Re: Disc Golf/Frolf!!!

Anyone ever hit up any Delaware courses? I used to play daily in nc but move to de recently and have hardly played at all. I think my dog and I are sting a little inside each day that we are not getting out. The one corse near us is kinda weak, costs me 8$ to get in and isn't very dog friendly. So that and not knowing anyone that plays around here Makes it kinda depressing. I'm at lewes/ rehoboth beach

I'm a huge fan of this game... the fact that smoking weed on the course is standard and the gradual learning curve are pretty awesome.

Thanks for this link dude. I just put in my state (DE super small) and it gave me all the courses in it. Been meaning to look at that.

Courses obviously vary, but on the easier holes I'm getting pars most of the time and a bogey if I play it poorly and/or hit a tree. Shift those up one for the tougher holes, though I do par them if I play it well. I've only gotten a few birdies, though I have missed a handful of makeable birdie putts. Meltdown holes still happen, obviously.

I've definitely improved a lot, even over the last few weeks, but it's obviously a lot slower than it was when I first started.

* This distance is based on using google earth. I thought it was more like 250-275+ since the signs at the course I've played the most appear to be way off, and it's shorter than they say. This is just the distance from start to where it lands, not including flight path and the like. Flat ground LDO.
where have you been playing? If you just started, Orchard Park is a great course to practice on. The one at the McMenamins in FG is probably also another great course for you.

Is there any way to tell if this is a first run boss? I overpaid for it, but in cake $$$ so it's a wash I guess.

Re: Disc Golf/Frolf!!!

the 4 point star stamp indicates a first run disc, so yes it is. hope you didn't pay over $50 though.

Brag: shot a personal best 1049-rated round at a A tier in Maryland this past weekend.

Re: Disc Golf/Frolf!!!

Good old fold2$, when are you gonna come back to bodog and splash around?

I paid exactly 50 tasty cake dollars so I'm like the billy walters of disc handicapping.

Nice round btw! I'm too lazy to look, where 'd u finish in the tourney?

Have u ever made ur way to MN for the majestic?

Any recommendations for dg in Austin? With a group of non golfers so something that would be easy and fun for all?

That must have been really fun.

I know Chuddo was talking about chucking a disc from a penthouse balcony at Palms towers a couple summers ago, but I'm not sure if it ever happened or not.

Re: Disc Golf/Frolf!!!

Cool thread

I've gotten back into things pretty heavy this year after taking almost a decade off. Its crazy how long everyone is now! New tech really makes a difference.

Picked up my first blizzard plastic today. I'm normally a Discraft guy, but man I'm digging the blizzard boss. Just explodes out of my hand, not so great in the wind though. Neat disc...at 70% it flys about as far as my nuke at 90%.
