If it wasn't used on craigslist or something then you should be very concerned.

is chesterfield or clayton (missouri) or overland park (kansas) near you (no idea about midwest towns, sorry)? Relax the Back has retail outlets in those towns. the products they'll have on hand at any given store can be hit or miss sometimes, but there's a good chance you'll be able to sit in a few chairs to evaluate them.

Overland Park is a part of KC, and I have been to that relax the back store. They had a Freedom Task chair, and several versions of Lifeform Ultimate Executive chairs. That's all I could sit in and that's why I asked about the Lifeform chairs earlier.

I thought the Lifeform exec was a little more comfortable than the freedom, which wasn't bad at all. They were both overpiced in my opinion. I only sat for about 15 minutes in each.

So after a day of use I would say the used steelcase leap is the best purchase I have made in quite a while. It is very comfortable and shows very few signs of use besides a few scratches on the base.

I got my steelcase leap today after reading all the great reviews and it feels really stiff to me for some reason... Am I doing something wrong?

The padding on the bottom of mine leaves something to be desired, but aside from that I love it. Is that what you mean by stiff?

Finally i bought a new chair and im feeling like on dope.
Its a Viasit Linea (German Company). Highly ergonomic and
adjustable. Got it for 460 Euro with additional features.

http://www.viasit.de/en/products-amp-services/linea

Highly recommend it, since i had a lumbago last week after sitting
for years on cheap IKEA chair, .
Better spend 500 bucks on chair than thousands in rehab and operations.

Anyone compared the balance and rhythm fabrics on the embody chair? I want to know if the balance fabric is worth the extra $200

I finally found a place in KC that offers Steelcase Leaps. I sat on one and its very comfortable. My order is placed, and I can't wait until I get it in a few days.

does anyone one have the Human Touch Manual Perfect Chair? looks incredibly comfortable for getting on the laptop and grinding. the way the leg rest is on it makes it look way more comfortable for sitting w/ a laptop in my lap than normal reclining chairs where my i basically have to sit upright w/ my legs stretched straight out.

if anyone has it lmk what u think of it plz.

What do you think of this chair? Im thinking of getting one, but they seem really expensive..

Any reviews of people who have spent significant time in one of these chairs?

I am going to order a Steelcase Think tomorrow. I think my quote was for $625 + tax. I have the worst chair at home, and my work chair is not much better. I think if I own this chair 5 years it makes perfect sense.

You can get them on ebay for $1099 w/ free shipping and no tax, probably the base model w/ minimum upgrades. http://cgi.ebay.com/Embody-Chair-by-...3%3A1|294%3A50

Or an upgraded one w/ balance fabric and hardwood casters for $1229 w/ free shipping and no tax. http://cgi.ebay.com/Herman-Miller-EM...3%3A1|294%3A50

Has anyone felt the difference between the rhythm and the balance fabric?

I've been wondering the same thing. I've got all my options picked out except for the fabric.

I spent some time trying to figure this out. First, I called an online store rep who had no idea. Then I called Herman Miller and spoke with a rep who, after getting some fabric samples, said that there was no difference in feel or quality- just a different appearance.

Why is the balance fabric $200 more? My current theory is that the Rhythm fabric is mainly an angle to allow online retailers to sell a similar, but not identical, Embody at a lower price (for example, B&M stores like DWR & Copenhagen do not offer Rhythm fabric).

I spent about 20 minutes in one at a store, and it really did seem to be the "Perfect Chair".
Most comfortable I've ever been in my life.
