Unless the rules require it (they don't), the ref telling a fighter he'll take a point next time is dumb as hell. If it was an intentional foul, take a point. If it was accidental then don't pigeon hole yourself into having to take a point in case of another accidental foul.

man, feel so bad for mighty mouse. awesome dude who streams games on twitch... but there's no competition and he's regulated to fighting a TUF winner for the belt in a half empty arena.

****ing white people man
12-04-2016 , 01:52 AM
And a mild murmur comes over the crowd of literally hundreds of fans as the champion walks out.

How much is White Chocolate by TKO paying?
12-04-2016 , 01:52 AM
and mighty mouse is coming out to can't stop by flux pavilion which is cool.... but it sounds like it's coming out of tin cans because he's fighting in a high school gym or something

One area where MMA could take a page from boxing is in the intros. First, let fighter's seconds carry their belts out. Second, add things like "#1 p4p fighter in the world" to the intro

Had a feeling Elliot wouldn't go easily. This is great.
12-04-2016 , 02:01 AM
Being gassed 3 minutes into a 25 minute fight is pretty rough
12-04-2016 , 02:13 AM
This is such a weird fight
12-04-2016 , 02:16 AM
Tim Elliot basically won a contest to fight the best fighter in the world.and is clowning and throwing crane kicks. Dudes getting his ass kicked but is just happy to be here
12-04-2016 , 02:20 AM
I kinda like this goofy bastard. He's like like a dope fiend Carlos Condit. Odd striking, terrible TD defense but always attacking. DJ needs to polish up his RNC game. He had three attempts that all should have been finishers, especially this most recent one in R4. Elliot's submission defense is really damned good, though.

He's also extending the most dominant champion in the UFC further than any other fighter has...

He has serious height for the weight class and a legit chin and sub defense. He's been fun to watch.
12-04-2016 , 02:25 AM
Tim Elliot needs to stay fun and not be a douche in this post fight and he's got at least a few decent UFC fights in him.
12-04-2016 , 02:26 AM
DJ 49-46 with a few possible 10-8s in there.

That dip**** judge from earlier finding a 48-47 somehow has to be in play tho
12-04-2016 , 02:28 AM
surprisingly fun fight

none of those were close to 10-8 imo

And sitting out hurts him as well. Not to mention him even getting licensed to fight Mayweather is slim. CSAC already said he'd need to win a high level fight first. Any major state will likely say the same.

Conor definitely has a ton of leverage but not to the point where the UFC has to do whatever he wants and will let him go get embarrassed in boxing likely not making a penny off of it and it possibly leading to him never fighting in MMA again.
Conor can afford to sit and do nothing indefinitely. Ari has to make payments on his multi-billion dollar loans, and I don't think 250k-buy PPV's are going to cut it.

He needs 2 more wins I think to break Silvas record and then hopefully we see him at 135.

And you think him letting Conor go get embarrassed by Floyd while likely making close to 100 million is going to help him? Conor would just have even more leverage and probably be asking for a Dana sized cut of the UFC lol.

And as someone else said I think Conor loves fame, money, and fighting too much to just sit out indefinitely.

if anything, benavidez and cejudo was the real joke, two little wrestler midgets flailing about winging ****ty punches and kicks, missing probably 75% of them, and then talking about how great your fight was in the exit interview

I would rather watch Benavidez vs Cejudo then Hall trying to point fight and falling to his ass as soon as he sense any danger. His kicks and punches were rabbit punches, never looked to do any real damage. Greg is a shadow of his former self, he was awful and should retire. Did you guys see him when he was weighing in, he looked worse then McGregor at 145.

Benavidez Cejudo was fun and it could of gone either way, a fight to be entertaining doesnt always have to be tecnichal, where did you get that idea from?
12-04-2016 , 12:25 PM
He doesn't like smaller weight class fighters.
