Honestly the injuries haven't been nearly as bad this year as they were in like 14/15. I'm hoping it's guys have adapted to USADA and not just variance.

This is probably just a LOLAKA situation. Really disappointing. I was looking forward to that fight.

He's also just really f'ing old and a heavy 205er!
11-25-2016 , 05:25 PM
i wanted to see AJ smash his face in. injured in the main for a PPV 2 weeks out, i always wondered how some guys like NEVER get injured or miss fights. they must be doin something right
11-25-2016 , 05:26 PM
also the poll results currently are funny.

Anthony Johnson by goes distance. vote count = 0

hes probably my favorite 205'er atm as he usually wins by ****ing devastating KO.

Gus vs Rumble II main event ? Can't see anything they can really do to save the card.
11-25-2016 , 06:22 PM
Special "just this one time, i mean it you guys" dispensation for Jones??
11-25-2016 , 06:35 PM
Rumble v. a Josh Barnett?
11-26-2016 , 05:02 AM
Connor Woodley is the easy answer

Pretty sure Gus is out indefinitely with back problems. I wouldn't be too surprised if he retires tbh.

Rumble and DC fights took it out of Gus. I feel like he just wants to be a gate keeper then retire. He doesn't want to repeat those wars.

annnnnnd new....

Yeah, obviously they're going to elevate Aldo and do the interim thing, but after the year he's had, Aldo is probably sweating them just taking the title off him for no reason.
11-26-2016 , 06:45 PM
No way jose
11-26-2016 , 08:44 PM
How does this situation make any sense, why would Jose get the belt? I understand he's already beaten Frankie, and that they need to make the 206 bigger, but when have they ever just given somebody the belt when they've vacated it?
11-26-2016 , 08:53 PM
He won the interim belt vs Frankie.

Que?

He's the current interim champion. When a champion gives up/is stripped of the belt, the interim champ is elevated.
11-26-2016 , 09:37 PM
I'd forgotten that that was an interim fight, it still makes it dumb that they're calling this an interim fight then...
11-26-2016 , 09:46 PM
Yeah it does. Unless Jose is hurt, then this is just a title eliminator/#1 contender fight. No need for the belt
11-26-2016 , 10:35 PM
But Jose can't have the undisputed belt AND the interim belt at the same time, so they had to strip him of the interim belt, and have this intirim title fight, otherwise who would be the interim champ?!

Here's a tip for ya, invest in the company that makes the belts.

Somewhere the WBA commissioner is watching this and thinking he can learn a thing or two from the UFC

Fixed.
11-27-2016 , 01:58 PM
Meh, the WBA is the only one with a Super, Regular, and often Interim champ for most weight classes.

Shockingly, the IBF actually tends to follow it's own rules, even at the expense of more profitable fights.

The Whitaker v Brunson card was a joke, but I guess they can get away with that in Australia and whoever watches on TV is just a bonus.

Main event was pretty sick tho. Fast and furious. Both guys looked pretty good, but someone had to go down. I'd like to see both of them fight someone in the top five.
