Try Benyehuda downtown for some solid lunch food. Mediterranean burritos, great flavor and pretty reasonably priced.

Last day to get your fix is Oct. 3 I believe. I put it on my calendar fo sho.

In other news, I'm officially moving from Lakeview to Bucktown/Humboldt Park border. Any under the radar places I need to check out? Could be restaurants, bars, shopping, parks, anything else fun/interesting.

Riot Fest Chicago lineup has "leaked": http://imgur.com/AP6kUyV

Pretty good stuff (Green Day, The Strokes, Modest Mouse, Rise Against, Social Distortion, The Offspring, Alkaline Trio, Taking Back Sunday, Jimmy Eat World, Circa Survive, Helmet, and a crapload of others)

Turns out that was a fake lineup. The real lineup includes:

The Cure, Jane's Addiction, The National, Rise Against, Weezer, The Flaming Lips, Social Distortion, Slayer, The Offspring, Wu-Tang Clan, Descendents, Cheap Trick, Pussy Riot, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Dropkick Murphys, New Found Glory, and a crapload of others

Very deep lineup

Hey, I used to live in Chicago but have been traveling the last 2.5 years and just got back. Have any good beer bars or local breweries popped up in that time??

A lot have. All depends on what you want and where you're living

I will be out of town that weekend but will gladly accept any leftovers you might have.

In other news, one of my favorite Chicago events of the entire year is this Saturday: the 25th Annual Headsuckers Ball at McGee's in Lincoln Park. ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAWFISH BOIL plus live zydeco music. So damn good. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. I believe mimosas are $1 too although I'm a beer man.

If anyone cares to meet up, let me know. It's supposed to be 60+ and sunny that day.

Pro tip: Go in the early afternoon after the crowd has dispersed. No wait to get in and easier to get a table. They are definitely not going to run out of food.

ramen-san on hubbard opened yesterday and they have excellent, top-notch (imo) tonkatsu ramen

~16 tables with bar, open 'til 1am, no outside windows, wood paneling everywhere, and they played 90's rap music on the loudspeakers

highly recommend! i enjoyed the ramen MUCH more than slurping turtle

Yea, not like you'd ever do something like that

I haven't quite figured that out yet. I'm only getting a 6 month lease because I'll probably want to bail when January rolls around. So that makes things a little tougher, but presumably wicker park, lakeview, or oldtown.

That many huh? Lets say wicker park and lakeview areas. All I'm really looking for is somewhere that isn't too loud, has ample seating, and some top notch beers of course. The more on tap, the better!

Peapod is unreliable as **** and will make me late for work. What's the best alternative? I heard something about an app where randoms charge a fee to pick up groceries for you

Peapod has been fine for me but I have the luxury of working from home when I'm not on the road. Have you tried weekends instead? I know they also offer pickup locations but I've never tried that. I think Foxtrot offers a similar same day type delivery service but haven't tried that out either.

There are casinos in northwest Indiana and Milwaukee. But, if you don't get here that often, I wouldn't recommend making this a gambling trip when street festival season kicks off+the weather is supposed to be good.

The only place in river north that's worth going to will be Fado's. I normally go to the Globe which is just off the Irving Park brown line stop. Small Bar on Division is excellent and I would imagine Prost!(in Lincoln Park) will be showing matches as they show CL matches.

Thanks. Spending my first day in Wrigleyville. Eating at cozy on Sheffield and had a Polish at a hot dog joint. So far so good. Want to go to the Hancock building. I have a car , is it better to just take the train ? I take the nyc subway system 200 time a year. So public transportation is not a problem with me.

What the hell is it with the " no parking except zone xxx permit" all over town. Not to mention the 6 an hour it charges to park on a city street. LOL.
