Anywhere on Devon St will be way less than $25/person, and probably your best bet if you like traditional Indian food and want a wide variety of options

Cumin is quite good. I think they only offer a buffet on weekends

anybody know of any reputable real estate companies they've used to rent? I can't wait to leave the building I'm in, lease ends April 30th, I've had enough of this company. They don't fix **** and now they want to raise my rent and parking if I re-up my lease. Stay away from Lamiline Inc. properties

St Pattys plans? is the parade worth it? First st patricks day since moving here.

Have some friends coming into town, going to the Bulls game, don't know if we can even make it from parade to game in time..

What else is there to do this weekend?

If you've never seen it before, watching the river turn green is pretty cool. It's a bit crowded when they actually do it, but if you head downtown later in the day and check it out, it's actually way more green (IMO).

I mean, there are parties/parades/etc, but it's St Patty's Day in Chicago...just go to any Irish bar, hell ANY bar, and it will be packed and there will be specials and lots of people.

If you stick to areas with a high concentration of bars (Clark St in Wrigley, Lincoln Ave in LP, etc), you are pretty much gauranteed to have a good time

Can you recommend a spot in particular?

Can anybody recommend a place to get something funky/eclectic for the girlfriend. Boots or something sub 100 bucks.

Prob something out in Wicker Park would be your best bet.

So far Kirkwood has been my favorite spot to go on weekends, went there a bunch for NCAA games when it was warm out, awesome patio spot.

St. Patty's Day was an absolute ****show. Even the crappy bars had lines out the door after 1PM.

Trying to stay away from Big City Tap, but it's a fun place to go when bombed.

Pretty poor at the moment (paying off debts) so no fine dining in the immediate future, but as I make money I'll foray into some of the awesome places listed ITT.

Went to Franks N Dawgs on Clybourn near Sheffield yesterday. Apparently it's by one guy who left Hot Doug's to open it. Pretty much like Hot Doug's but way less crowded.

Gf and I hit up Acadia in the south loop last week (16th & Wabash-ish). I thought it was fantastic. Real solid flavors and everything was cooked to absolute perfection. First plate was pork belly (gf had the risotto). Second plate was duck (gf had wagyu beef). All four dishes were amazing. The place is also very reasonably priced.

They make some ridiculous cocktails there as well (pro tip: get the mezcal old fashioned, the juniper sazerac, and the aviator). Their head bartender, Michael Simon, came from Graham Elliott and he really knows what he's doing. We almost went through the entire cocktail menu and he made us a couple custom whiskey based drinks as well.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. We're definitely heading back soon.

Quick: Going to Blackhawks game tonight, got tickets from work. Any recommendations west of 94 for a quick bite to eat? Should have like an hour between going to gym and when the game starts.
