Give State a call. I'd be pretty sure that Lincoln Station would be showing the masters as well

Anyone that is looking for the best latte's in Chicago, go to Kickstand at Belmont and Clark. I became addicted to Flat White's in New Zealand(latte but poured differently to make it more silky on top) and this is only place in Chicago where they know how to do it. Hands down best latte's in Chicago and I've searched far and wide.

I have Next Vegan tickets for 4 people on Sun Aug 4 at 6:15pm. I won't be there and sold them to an acquaintance. He now can't go due to going to Lollapalooza so they are available if anyone's interested. It's $505 for the 4 including water pairings (can be upgraded for more $$ at the meal if interested).

Random nuggets since this thread is dead...

* Ravinia tickets go on sale this Thursday

* Frontier crawfish boil is this Sunday

* Fogo 2 Go (my favorite non-deep dish pizza in Chicago) has a special going on for Bulls playoff games: free medium cheese or pepperoni pizza with every online order

* Food Revolution Chicago, a show about food in Chicago (ldo), begins next Wednesday if I'm not mistaken (http://foodrevolutionchicago.com/about/)

* New Reality game show "The Chase" is auditioning in Chicago one week from Saturday downtown somewhere. Details can be found online. You have to submit info online then appear at an interview at a scheduled time. It's a "win a bunch of cash in a little amount of time" type of game show a la Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, Cash Cab, and Deal or No Deal (rather than a Survivor or Big Brother type of show). I'm giving it a shot.

* Chicago episode of House Hunters takes places sometime on May 6. Set your DVRs.

Fogo 2 Go is good? We have it on our lunch vote at work and it never gets close to winning so I figured it sucked

BBQ Chicken is where it's at. I have a bunch of Supreme waiting for me in my fridge tonight too.

this question is going to be a bit redundant but might as well ask it

me and a group of 6-7 total started doing a group dinner night about once a month. We did Balena the first night and then last month we did Farmhouse (which I thought was terribly overrated).

it's my turn to pick the restaurant. Most of us live in Lincoln Park. we're down to travel a bit but obviously not too far. Our checks have been about $50 a person (with two ~$40-50 bottles wine on avg)

so I'm looking for a cool place that we'd be able to get weeknight reservations. everyone is reasonably adventurous. Would Avec be a solid place? I'd like a few places to look u p.

thanks!

Avec is amazing, but pretty sure they don't take resos. Wait usually isn't so long, though. Plenty of places to grab a drink after you put your name down.

Excellent plates for sharing that aren't all that small and a solid wine list. Lots of bottles under $50.

Depends on how far you want to travel. I think brown trout in North Center would be a great call

I'm partial to North Pond since I used to work there. Although you'd be spending a little more, main courses are $30-40.

and btw, they are free corkage on thursday nights. I would wholly recommend using the $100 that you would spend on wine at dinner to buy 2 $40-50 bottles at binny's. A lot of pinot goes well with their food

Any tennis players in Lincoln Park/Lakeview area shoot me a PM if you want to hit. Recreation Drive has new courts which are pretty sweet.

That makes you too good for me, but are you interested in doubles?

I'd be down to play. Prefer doubles as well. Played a bit in high school and a few leagues after college. I'm in Lakeview.

Heading to see Josh Ritter at the Vic Theatre tonight

Never been to the Vic before, don't know anything about it, any random things I should know about it?

Also, went to opening night of Othello at the Joffrey Theatre on Wednesday. I really enjoyed it. I haven't been to many ballets, but thought it was really well done. Recommend if you guys are looking for something different

I played 3 years in HS and sporadically since then, but I'd be down to play tennis if people are playing.

You and calmikeabomb can PM me your cell if you want to play. Courts get pretty backed from 6pm-9pm but not sure about later. No problems during the day if you can get out at normal work hours. I'm up for hitting almost any time.

PM sent dude.

Any hidden gems out there for men's clothing stores? Looking for business wear and nicer stuff for going out. Looking to buy a new blazer or two, some new dress shirts, possibly a new suit.

I know most of the options are downtown. I've done a lot of shopping at Jos. A. Bank in the past but haven't been to the downtown location. I'm sure there are more options out there but any recommendations would be cool. Don't care a ton about price but at the same time I get the impression that everything on mag mile will be overpriced based on location.
