I speak very little Spanish. I may know what 75-100 words mean, but otherwise nothing and I can't form sentences other than "How are you". It's not too difficult to communicate or read Spanish though. The banker spoke literally zero English but I managed. I live in a condo complex on the beach and probably 15% of the 55 units are inhabited by poker players so I'm not by myself here.

I don't want to clutter Adsman's thread with my own experiences, but I made some posts in this thread a few months ago and there's also a blog link in my profile if you'd like to read more.

It's getting there. I've done more in the last 4 months than in the last 4 years.

First draft just about done. But I now realise that the first 40,000 words need a great deal of trimming. So time to trim the fat.

Will definitely buy this book. I've tried for a book deal myself and have some insight into how high the standards are, so tons of respect for the time and effort you've put in here.
