I picked Anderson to win in the poll and as a favorite, but when I watched the match I wanted Chael to win. After rewatching the fight and looking at the backfist gif a billion times, I realize that he obv didn't take a dive, that Anderson hit him with a knee really hard to send him down. Also, he didn't rem throwing it, so he probably was hit so hard by those straight punches that he didn't know wtf he was doing which explains why he did something so stupid. Credit to Anderson for being so dominant on his feet and with such good BJJ that he can survive being mounted.

First round Anderson concern was not getting finished and tire Sonnen out after he was taken down, second round started with Shale puffing and breathing through his mouth while Anderson didn't even sit during the interval.

I wonder if Rampage will get up for this one. Glover is a killer.

Isn't that the one Shogun turned down?
Rampage has so many excuses pre-fight nowadays, I seriously doubt the guy vs top competition. He's cost me a lot in bets.

Back of my mind, I really think Joe Silva is setting him up for failure due to recent poor behavior.
He can't complain that the opponent is only a wrestler lay and pray type. He will get owned on the feet by a perceived new comer on his last fight in UFC.

I agree, it's a lose-lose for Rampage. It kinda feels like when they matched up Tito against Machida for his last fight.

Knowing Rampage though, I wouldn't be surprised if he disregards the hype on Teixeira completely.

yeah they did this to tito , they put him up against machida for his last fight before his contract expired .

i do think rampage could win this fight if he comes in shape .teixera has never faced someone w. page's standup ability and i doubt rampage will get ko'ed ..not really sure how good texeiras chin is .should be a fun fight ,

I thought that the knee was illegal, but it does not matter now. While I would like to make some sort of crack about how Silva is invincible, he showed some vulnerabilities that will be the seeds of his future defeat. Somebody in the future is going to ground and pound his way to victory. Every MMA fighter eventually loses.

On the other hand:
