This is the biggest fight ever imo. 2 years in the making after an epic first fight and mountains of trash talk from Chael. The GOAT and his arch nemisis settling the score once and for all. It's the biggest rivalry ever.
I agree with Fossilkid, GSP/BJ 2 superfight is the only one that comes close.
Honestly it doesn't really crack my top 10. Obviously it's a huge fight, but I just don't feel like it has a lot of potential to be a great fight.
Either Chael will either get a UD from takedowns and beating Silva up, or Silva will find a way to get a finish. The finish might be spectacular, but thats not the same thing as a crazy back and forth super exciting fight.
For example, I was much more excited for Hendo vs Shogun than this fight.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm still pretty amped to see it.
I know what you're saying and kinda agree that the actual fight may not be that great, but it's what's at stake that matters more imo.
I see tons of non-main event fights, or even prelim fights, where I think "wow, that's gonna be an awesome fight" but I just can't get as hyped up when it's two guys I don't know so well, or don't care about too much, or there's nothing really at stake in the fight. Also I've come to realise that "FOTN potential" often doesn't really mean anything. All too often the best fights come from unexpected places, and the ones we think will be awesome turn into snooze-fests.

Ah lol I just typed Dan Lebetard into Google and streamed the first thing I could find. Think it was an off-air radio station that was just blasting out ads. At least I know where to go now if I find myself in the US and in over $10k worth of debt, or needing life insurance.
