It's Georgia Tech, which would fulfill your college home game aspirations. I'd say we put together a pretty decent gameday for a bunch of nerds,

Don't know how many of you live in or around the Buckhead/Brookhaven area but tomorrow at Pub 71 (N Druid/Peachtree intersection) there's an all-day Oktoberfest party. Some buddies and I go every year and it's always a blast (if weather is good).
Basically, tons of good beer and german food, with live music most of the day. Starts at 3. Oh also usually tons and tons of hot drunk girls at this, it usually turns in to a block party for the whole area surrounding. If you wanna drop by, lemme know and come say hey and I'll buy you a pint. PM me if interested and I'll send the Facebook thing.

Search Anacardos gigantor thread in OOT as pretty much every meetup in the past couple years has been organized through it.

Haha Moe's & Joe's was my home during my years at Emory

There's too much in VH to touch on in one post, but here are a couple of my favorite things there.
Panita Thai is right next to the more popular Surin, but a completely different experience. There is literally only one guy who works there and he'll seat you, cook your food, serve you, etc. so it's a full night event, not just a short meal. The single Yelp review is kinda meh, but everyone I've known who went there loved it.
Moe's and Joe's. If you can put up with a bar full of Emory students (which is no easy task tbh) then it's a fun place to drink cheap on a Tuesday night.

Re: Atlanta: Your favorite things to do or places to go
Despite the praise for Bones and Chops, I have to give the best steak in Atlanta to either Hal's or Rathbun's. Both are far superior to Chops and Bones.
I live in Johns Creek (former Alpharetta) and work in Buckhead so anyone have any questions about those areas let me know.
For Johns Creek, Pure Taqueria is an absolute must. Small place with some of the best fish tacos and Texas Margaritas around. Long wait (1.5+ hours) on Thursday, Friday or Saturday but well worth it. Great food and atmosphere.
Does anyone know where Steamhouse lounge has relocated? I heard it was on Peachtree near Shout! but I havent seen it driving through. Craving their lobster bisque and a lobster roll.

I got a PM asking to start a thread like this, so instead let's see if this thread can get some more activity.
I've got a list of restaurants I've been to recently back at home so I'll update after work with all the fun goings on around Inman Park/Old 4th Ward area.

Food truck park on Howell Mill adjacent to 75 on east side is fun... when it's not hot outside

This thread seemed to die down right around the time I moved here...coincidence?
This probably isn't news to anyone who's been here for a while, but Antico is frickin' awesome and worth risking a mugging or two in Home Park for. Some of the best pizza I've ever had, great environment and BYOB. The have open communal seating/standing areas and it gets pretty packed on the weekends but you can usually find a place to squeeze in.
