What is your favorite burger spot?

I thought Flip was just okay, but I'm more of a build-my-own burger kind of guy.

I really like Yeah Burger and definitely enjoyed Farm Burger as well.

Grindhouse on Mondays for Trivia is always fun too, but I don't think the burger is on the level of the other places.

Never had the Holman and Finch burger, but I've heard great things.

The Antico guys are building a bar/coffee/dessert place across the street from their current location. The article says it should be done by October, but they still have to demolish a house, so I'm not sure how accurate that timeline is.

They need to find a new freaking space for Antico. That place is ridiculously crowded, nevermind sitting in the kitchen with no AC when it's 100 degrees outside.

Buckhead is going to be your crowded, just out of college/college-aged bar scene. It's pretty fun, but you have to be looking for a packed scene that is on just on the cusp of being a bit too fratty (even for the older people out and about). I like just going down to the street with Park Bench/Pool Hall/5 Paces, etc and just bouncing from bar to bar. It's a good time, but definitely not something I'd do more than once a month just b/c of the crowds.

Virginia Highlands bar scene is more relaxed and generally an older crowd. By older I just mean not a lot of college aged kids. Still a ton of 24-28 yr olds. Dark Horse Tavern is a good start, then just walk up and down the street and you'll find plenty of places to go to.

That's all I am really familiar with, but I'd imagine those are the two areas you'd want to be in. Midtown scene is probably okay, but I've never really partied over there.

Need more details. How old are you? What's your "scene"? Are you a frat guy, indie/hipster, you like bars or clubs? As the other guys said Buckhead is basically like continuing the UGA frat party from undergrad.

Personally, it's how I envision hell but if that's your scene then Buckhead is the place to go. Virginia Highlands is a good area. I like Neighbors and Limerick Junction. Dark Horse is douchey and Hand in Hand is mostly 22-25 ex frat guys. Go to Metalsome which is underneath Dark Horse on Friday and Saturday night, live band karaoke...it's a good time.

East Atlanta/Ponce/Edgewood are the hipster areas. Good bars are The Earl, Church (yes the bar's name is Church), The Bookhouse, and The Local. The Porter in Little 5 has an awesome beer selection and good food too.

My favorite area is Decatur, which is much more chill and has good restaurants/bars. Go to Brickstore which I believe was ranked 6th best beer bar in the world, ridiculous selection...also Leon's is a good place. Anyway, that's all I've got off the top of my head.

Midtown is full of ridiculous clubs like Vanquish/Reign and Opera. If you've ever been to Vegas clubs, you know the drill.

If any atlanta locals wanna try an awesome Sushi place, Sakura in East Cobb is fantastic.

http://sakurasushibar.webs.com/

You will pull up to the place and think no way is this good, but trust me, go inside and try it. It's in the Park Aire center near Lower Roswell/JOhnson Ferry. It's in between a Johnny's Pizza and a Subway.

I'm tellin ya, it's great. Here's the menu link:

Doing a trip here this weekend....

any suggestions for

bar to grab a few casual drinks on Friday during the day? (anywhere from 2PM-7PM)?
bar to watch some college football games Saturday 3:30-7?
up for anything but any great burger, wing places or if we want to go upscale (like all food)?
