Can someone explain to me what Father John Misty is all about? I'm not sure I get it. I like it, just not sure if I am getting leveled or something.

Yea, if you don't like Syro I'm not sure how you can expect to like something else from Aphex.

Jazz wise I was looking forward to new Matana Roberts but not feeling the new album at all.

Idk about the father john misty album, but really like chateau lobby and smiling and astride me

for those who enjoy deafheaven this is well worth a listen: http://ghostbath.bandcamp.com

also kinda like this song tho it's a bit simple: James Davis - Co-pilot.

I discovered isis (band not murderous fundamentalists) on pandora. I'm very new to this kind of music, discovered them on my deafheaven station. I friggin love it, though.

it's a really good album, but i don't like it at all.
reminds me that i hate rap music with "real" (lol) instruments.
the only track that triggers sth in me is "the blacker the berry".
"institutionalized" and "these walls" are nice as well.

Don't disregard ISIS (the murderous fundamentalists). They've released some incredible music over the past few months.
