The Well: ship it trebek
A stranger is being shown around a village that he has just become part of. He is shown a well and his guide says "On any day except Wednesday, you can shout any question down that well and you'll be told the answer" . The man seems pretty impressed, and so he shouts down: Why not on Wednesday? and the voice from in the well shouts back: Because on Wednesday, its your day in the well .
I am going out atm, be back in a few hours hopefully coherent . I've spent many hands at teh micros due to me withdrawing constantly so I figure I'd do it down here, plus I hang out here often.

Through which stakes does ABC poker remain profitable?
Whenever I start making more moves on people, I feel like it often leads to me spewing more. In general, how often are you making moves on people, and how often do you recommend doing it, as opposed to just playing ABC and the value of your cards?

Re: The Well: ship it trebek
1. Student? What do you do outside of poker?
2. Poker book you thought helped you the most?
3. If you could have dinner with one person either living or dead who would that be?
4. Why Ship it trebek? (and everytime I see you post something I think Saturday Night Live sketches with will Ferrell playing Trebek).
5. Vodka, Rum or Tequilla?

How many hands lifetime? How many hands before you felt like you had a good handle on things?

Question:
- When you win a big pot, is it standard for you to shout "SHIP IT, TREBEK!"?
- How old are you?
- Favorite drink?
- Did you deposit or built your roll from $0?
- Do you play for glory or as a way to supplement income?
- Favorite sport?
- Who's the person you have the utmost respect for in the world?
- Favorite poster(s) in 2+2?
- Best hand you ever played?
- Biggest pot (winning and loser)?
- Fav TV show?
- Lifetime graph.
Thanks for doing this, sir.

Re: The Well: ship it trebek
biggest tell in the micros (25NL if possible)?
how long did it take you to get past each level (i.e. 25NL to 50NL, 50-100NL, etc) to where you play today?
most important skill for a microstakes grinder?
What rules do you follow for bankroll management (standard 20 buyins) and when do you advocate taking a shot at the next level?
Thanks for doing this sir. I am a fellow ShipIt club member :P

Bear with mev. , I have a ton of Jameson in my system. I'll try to type well.
Obv story, I played cards before the moneymaker boom fun games like draw and stud and eventually nlhe when it was on tv, starting playing online at party in 05. naturally thought i was gods gift to poker and blew through 50 bucks pretty quickly (damn rigged blackjack). I played mostly sit and gos with some 6m cash, had no idea what I was doing essentially but the games were so bad it didnt matter. From summer 06 to summer 07 i played anywhere form 25-200 depending on when i last withdrew. i had money on bodog at one point. eventually i cashed it all out, took 3rd in an rtr freeroll for 800 on absolute, took my money the **** outta there and then grinded from summer 07 to now.
J9d is always a favorite no idea why
I dont really have a worst poker memory, best would be winning the first live donkament i entered with about 30 people. I twas like 20 bucks but i was on top of the world.

with the state of the games today, you can prob play abc PROFITABLY through 100 maybe 200. now netting a profit doesnt mean 4ptbb. i'm saying you can beat the rake essentially. In tmers of achieving a decent winrate, you can probably still do it at 100 with decent game selection. I usually only make moves on regs with history. I dont think at lower stakes you should be making moves on people with history.
