Has any poker player ever tweeted anything worth reading? Just curious if poker tweets are similar to poker blogs - bragging and whining.

Are you serious? How about if you've bought action and want to see how they're doing/playing.

If I buy MTT action from someone, I don't need them to tell me anything other than how much $ they are about to ship me. I stake people because they make the right decisions for the right reasons. I'm not their mother, I'm not their boss - they don't have to tell me about the small things. Listening to people talk about what chip stack they have, and how many people are left until the money is just plain boring.

With tournaments, I know that its totally a variance game and as long as they are in the right mindset, I approve of all their actions, and all their results.

Unless someone makes the final table, or ships a tournament, MTT results are boring and borderline worthless. I mean, you could be like LacieK and post videos of rolling around in the money and making snow angels in the money... or you can ACT LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THERE.

Re: ***** The Well - El Nino 1 *****

Ok I want to apologize for the complete fail on updates to this well with regards to my live play.
As I write this, I am back in Texas taking a relaxing break after playing pretty much everyday for 10 weeks. Now that the WSOP is over, it was time for a small vacation and that provided me with a chance to catch everyone up with the happenings during WSOP time.

My WSOP results were pretty disappointing. Including Venetian's and a Wynn Classic event, I went 1 for 9 in cashes. Luckily for me, I cashed in the biggest BI event I played, the $2500nl at the WSOP. I wasn't able to win flips in critical situations. I understand that as its an MTT pretty much all flips can be crucial but I am talking about the ones late in day 1 that would of sent me to day 2 with a decent sized stack and an ability to cash/run deep.

I do however, think that my tournament play was much improved over the previous year. I had spent a lot of time working on my tournament game coming into the WSOP by playing more online and I certainly saw the benefit of this. I think that I ran a solid package for my investors despite limited results and everyone will be paid out with the next couple of days.

On the cash game front, I have made a lot of adjustments to my game and have began to thrive in the live games. I am still primarily playing 1/3 at the Wynn although I am looking to make the step up to 2/5 shortly. The 2/5 will likely start at the Bellagio or Aria before coming full circle and back to the Wynn eventually. I have a number of friends that are playing 2/5 at the Wynn and I will use their knowledge with regards to table selection.

For the seven weeks prior to last week, I was winning at about $32 an hour, which I think is pretty much the ceiling for 1/3. In the last week, I think that the grind caught up with me and I lost 5 of 7 session after winning 15 of 16. I didnt heed warnings from my friends until it was a little late and as a result things were poor the last week. After being at home for 2 days, it is apparent that I did need the break and cant wait to get back to grind and bounce back.

If anyone wants me to post daily results for July and August, I said that I would and Id certainly do that.

You said you had to make adjustments to the live (cash) game, and then began to thrive. What kind of adjustments did you make?

Who are best live low stakes players you've played with?

Favorite/least favorite room?

Favorite thing about changed from online to live?

I have just started coming back and posting on 2+2 and am looking to be involved with the Micro community again.

I moved out to Vegas in April after BF and live in a poker house with 6 other guys that play live in Vegas. Playing predominately 1/2, 1/3 and 2/5 and also some live mtts. Have since the turn of the year, decided to get back into the online world and have played hands on Cake, True and BlackChip. I am now pretty much only playing on Blackchip and playing anything from $50nl to $200nl.
My online game is certainly rusty and I am not putting up results that I am accustomed to but I knew there was going to be an adjustment period and thats what I am working through at the minute.

I have also got involved with Raw_Force and we are co-managing a Micro stable on BlackChip. Its only a recent thing though so the thread for that will go up this week. Also getting back into coaching some online guys again which is good but not sure I want to get back to the level of coaching I was doing pre-BF.

You're just bumping your thread so it won't get lost in the archives.

I kid: to see you back! Even though I am currently out of the micro world

Hi

I used to enjoy following your progress on your blog. We both have a similar approach to poker I think (grinding it out, good table selection, avoiding high variance etc) Any chance of updating a blog again ? It was good motivational material for me

GL man

I can certainly look to get that up and running again and it might provide me with some motivation also, so it could be beneficial to both of us
