OK folks, I'm tabulating the data in a google docs spreadsheet.

If you see any mistakes, let me know. It would be nice to get the missing MGR for yz10andy at some point. Keep the data coming. I could use more 2NL and 5NL data from both PS and FT.

Interesting! Your 5NL and 10NL are lower than everyone elses but your 25NL and 50NL are higher.

Likewise, yz10andy's 2NL is particularly high (lots of big pots?).

I wonder about chipstar1's data -- he has a really low effective rake (4.8bb/100). Perhaps he played lots of small (less than $1) pots?

May have to do with the fact that recently I play a bit looser than generally recommended... I don't know.

yeah, that would do it. Loose players win (and lose) more pots per 100 hands than tight players so they get raked more. They also win more medium and small pots which are raked harder at 25NL-50NL (but less at 2NL and 5NL on PokerStars)

Up at 200NL you only need a 30bb pot to hit the rake limit so even medium pots see the effect of the rake cap.

I need more 2NL and 5NL for both PS and FT (especially FT).

I'll take 100NL and 200NL number too. Since I'm not accounting for the PokerStars VIP program or deposit bonuses FT should start kicking PokerStars ass in my spreadsheet somewhere around 25NL-50NL.

Thanks Erizo, Digger! Every bit helps!

I'm mostly interested in the effects of the different rake systems at the lowest levels but since I'm collating data I might as well collect 25NL-200NL.

The different rake systems at FT and PS (primarily 99c effect) could have a significant impact on lower levels but is unlikely to cause much difference at 25NL and above. Still, I am interested in how much the rake cap impacts the effective rake at higher levels (25NL and above).

On a related topic, a while back I asked for VPP rates at various NLHE stakes. Here is a graph of that data.

As you can see from this graph, 200NL seems to be a turning point for VPP production.

Can you also provide "rake paid" and an exact number of hands? I don't need this but it would be nice to have.

LOL at your 2NL rake. Are those numbers correct? It works out to 17.10bb/100 which is way off the charts. Were you playing VPIP 100% or something?

On my spreadsheet (link above) I've marked high outliers in peach or red and low outliers in cools colors like mauve.

You have phenominally low rake at 50NL! Great rake-paid/MGR ratio there too! That means your getting more than your fair share of VPPs

Bulk of my 2nl hands were playing $5 deep, so I guess that might explain the big pot question. If everyone else was playing $5 deep too then I dunno.

At 50NL you'll see lots of pots smaller than 50bb. at 2NL, if folks are raising it up a bit PF and on the flop then they are effectively playing higher (e.g. like dwan & ziggy playing with a forced raise).

I'm tempted to grind out 10-15k hands at 2NL myself just for the stats but I don't think I can make myself do it. LOL at digger's stats for 2NL.

No I'm saying $5 stack so 250bbs, so bigger pots vs other deep stacks.

That or I'm missing something/******ed.

Well, if I bet 3x and you raise it to 12x, everyone else folds and I call. How do we get stacks in without lots of reraising or massive overbets?

If I bet 3x, you and 2 other people (sb, bb) call and then we flop. There is 12bb in the pot and we each have 247 behind. That is a lot of ground to cover.

I'm sure my problem is that I'm thinking based on 50NL opponents. At 2NL you probably flop a set, bet the flop, shove the turn and get called a lot of the time.

funky,

I've played 30k hands at every level and have it all in my db but I'm too lazy to search it but if you want to teamviewer / mikogo me, we can do it that way.

My aim is my name with a 33 at the end for ex name33

Thanks for the data.

You're rake rate is 8.6bb/100 which is pretty big. Any comments on style? Lots of big (i.e. bigger than $1) pots?
