Short stackers, what do you do here Top pair 2nd kicker

Poker Stars $5.00 No Limit Hold'em - 8 players

Beginning to get so *** frustrated with these short loose passives.

Checked my HEM and I'm running into turned trips in the last 19 out of 25~ spots where the 2nd card on the flop pairs. And once I barrel the turn against these kinds of effective stacks its 3.5:1 to me.

Such an easy fold when they're sat on any kind of decent stack, but what the hell are you meant to do here getting 3.5:1 on a call when you know full well they are capable of spazzing here with any ace once they see your bet committing them.

Surely there is value in betting this turn? against your stereotypical calling station fish

This is 22 or a random 9x quite a lot so I think you should fold your hand. Just raise to 3x pre-flop because he's only 53bb deep.

Your bet sizing of 55% pot is good, although I prefer a little smaller. You are doing this in order to create post flop playability with him despite his lower stack size. Once he raises, you are beat so muck your hand. He has a very low agression factor, so he doesn't normally raise that often unless he's got something.

Hand looks fine to me. I would probably call expecting to see the odd AT/AJ occasionally. It normally takes something special for me to fold TP good kicker to a guy sat on half a stack.

This is fine. Sometimes this is 9x, yes, but more often it's a worse ace. **** happens.

Bet bigger on the flop.

What's your plan with these bet sizes?

You leave him 1.5psb on the turn, once you bet, you're not folding. EVER.

Bet like .50 on the flop and shove the turn.

I agree with CMoreschi - you get value from weaker Ax a ton.

These are the people you make a lot of $ vs - sure, they might not individually have a lot, but they're terrible and you can get some here, some there.

Think of them as summer $. Summer here, summer there
