You have to know how you'll respond to a reraise before you raise in the first place.

Villain's range on the flop is weighted towards hands that crush you (sets and AJ/A8) with some flush draws. I honestly don't see much else in his range. So your plan should be to get to showdown as cheaply as possible. His small turn bet gives you that opportunity, so take it. Call and hope he checks or bets small on the river, or you fill up.

Pretty much what @Darth_Maul said

If Villain is raising for VALUE on the flop the only hand you now beat is J8, you are still losing to A8 AJ JJ 88 which are the only other value hands.

If Villain is raising as a BLUFF on the flop then you are ahead of all possible bluffs

As played, this turn raise vs value hands is an obvious disaster

As played, this turn raise vs bluff hands can accomplish very little, yes you are protecting against villain drawing to their hand - which has some merit. But I personally much prefer a flat call and then reevaluate on the river, which also allows villain to bluff at you on brick rivers

So you want to work out whether villain is weighted more towards BLUFFS or VALUE? What hands has villain been limping? Is villain likely to limp JJ? Has villain made loose raises before?

Side thoughts
- This turn raise for this amount at these stakes is so rarely a bluff
- Villain could also be raising a worst hand for value
