The only reason I ask is because it makes our decision super easy if the original raiser 5bets (we're beat) and we were planning to call off the CO anyway, so surely we can 4bet for value against him. Also, this way we don't have to call and then play a flop OOP vs two other people (cos we should assume that the original raiser is probably coming along getting a fab price if we just call).
But yeah is this just setting dat monayyy on fire (do we have to 4bet call if original raiser shoves and other player folds) or could it possibly work?
I missed the fact that we are OOP but given the SPR OTF position is not that important. We will probably value-donk any flop where we have overcards.
We don't really want to cold 4bet as:
- It's too likely that UTG+1 is going to fold. And if he shoves, he's not deep enough to make it possible for us to fold.
- By 4-betting, we give MP an opportunity to shove, meaning we'll lose CO in the process and end up against the top of MP's range.
In this hand, with QQ we are probably behind MP's range. Our goal is to keep the fishes in the hand.
