It might be worth going away and doing your own equity calculations here rather than just asking the forum for a yes or no answer; you won't learn much from that.

Villain is all-in and we close the action by calling, so it's easy to work out how much equity we need to call profitably. The hard part is giving villain a range (especially as you've given no reads). If you've got enough equity against his likely range, call. Otherwise, fold.

Trying to work out villain's range and basing your decisions on such weak assumptions might not be the best starting point here.

Think about your own range of hands as played.

By your preflop action of calling you have pocket pairs 22-JJ,suited connectors and weaker broadway type hands anything else you feel comfortable calling getting a good price to enter the pot with from the big blind.

By just calling the flop bet and not raising what is the best hand you have in your range? Personally I'd just call with some very strong hands hoping for more action and but if you are capped you may need to hero call with whatever the top of your range is / good bluff catchers (not always the same thing)

AT is ideal as it blocks the sets IF you just call this.

The problem with QTs is that by having a queen in your hand you block villain from having flush/straight draw bluffs.

If you do call QTs are you hero calling KTs, T9s etc? Its actually better to call with T9ss than QTss...
Against the shoving range AA,TT,ATs,ATo,KsQs,KsJs,KsTs,QsJs,QsTs,JsTs
you're better with Ts9s than QsTs

The next best hand from AT would be A2. BUT you need villain to be shoving AK, AQ or random bluffs enough of the time as well as shoving the KsQs type hands.

You're calling 1.8 to win 2.4 so 1.3:1 pot odds or you need 43% equity.
I'm struggling to get this unless villain is shoving AK or weaker for some of these bluff catchers

I like to hero every now and then and QsTs is a good candidate, I'd pick Ts9s instead though in this spot

Thanks Nxia. Appreciate this. Good food for thought with my range learning / study. I agree with U I alzo re using the forum right but not always 100% with that as I'm newish player and still not au fait in many areas. I do use equilab. Thanks for taking the time

the only hand i would really care at this point is AxKs

otherwise i think you still have nice equity, i dont think a set of Aces is gonna be played like that too often. seems like a gambler to me, is a close one but is not a bad call imo.

How can calling with 9Ts be better than calling with QTs against the range given?? Also if you think about the range you assigned, those with a Qs or a Ts can't be in villains range DUCY?

I am struggling to give villain a range which gives you better than 40% equity.. I have given villain a wide ish AA,TT,22,AcKc,AdKd,AhKh,AcQc,AdQd,AhQh,AcTc,AdTd,A hTh,Ac2c,Ad2d,Ah2h,KsJs,AKo,ATo,Ac2d,Ac2h,Ad2c,Ad2 h,Ah2c,Ah2d against which you have 40%. When we take out the AK AQ hands you have about 35%.

It's just a fold here tbh.. you having the QT of spades makes it less likely villain is shipping a flush draw as there are just not very many hands he can have. If villain just ships sets we have 30%, if he is just shipping two pair hands we have about 38%

I did say I was struggling to get to the required equity, but you do get an equity boost if villain thinks you'll fold all hands and they jam wider for this reason. Hence why hero calling can be profitable. I don't like to play in a way where I am folding all hands in my range so if QTs is the top of it I'll call though I try not to put myself in that position.
