Poker Trackers

This may be the wrong forum to post this on but whatever...
Okay, so I've noticed pretty much every successful online grinder uses some type of poker tracker
I'm thinking about downloading one.. I'm curious which one is the best and the cost of these things..
And I'm clueless on how to read the charts underneath the players at the tables.. help?

COTW: Configuring Our HUD Stats

Both Poker Tracker and Hold'em Manager have there qualities...do a bit of research and pick one. As a beginner i don't think you'll notice a massive difference between to two.

Re: Poker Trackers

They both do free trials, I believe, so you could download and try them out.

I picked Holdem Manager just because I got an almost free copy by signing up to PokerStars through the HM link and earning a certain number of FPPs.

PT possibly does a similar deal, but at the time I was signing up to PS they didn't do one for PS specifically, although they did for some other sites I believe.

Not sure if either still do this type of thing but it'd be worth checking the websites.

i prefer PT4, its in open beta and you can try it for free.. takes some getting use to, but it's very powerful. Has some amazing features.

I forgot to mention I'm in the US and having to play on Lock Poker. These suggested HUD's still work on Lock right?

FYI: There are several sites other than Lock Poker. I hadn't played online since Black Friday until last month and have been playing on Intertops of late. I forgot how much more I enjoyed sitting in my pajamas eating Hot Pockets and playing poker.(Some people do that live anyway) but at least I don't have to waste gas money. +EV

Oh, and I was using Poker Tracker 3 until the BETA for 4 came out. Have to say, it's quite nice.
