I don't feel very free. Why did I lose the war and get married then. We need to get this poker thing fixed.

Yea...it was. I was surprised they got as many people for this event as they did (48) considering the buyin amount. When Guy Laliberte first started talking about putting this together they weren't sure they'd get enough people to even have it. It obviously wasn't an issue though. Guy actually finished 5th. From what I've seen of him in this event and on HSP, Guy just seems like a real class act.

From what I've read it sounds like they could of easily got more than 48 players. It sounds like more pros wanted to enter, but the organizers were worried that too many pros would cause the non-pros to drop-out.

It was a really great event. I hope Guy tries to get it going again in 2013.

Brock, what can you tell me about the Omaha games in Calgary. I have a friend who'll be visiting; looking for 2-5 and up.

I assume you mean PLO as I've never seen O8 spread in the casinos I frequent.

PLO runs sporadically at the Deerfoot Casino. I would say his best bet is to call the Deerfoot Casino on a Friday or Saturday to see if they have any games running. They should have a 2/5 if a game is running. I've never really seen PLO running at Stampede Casino, but it's recently been re-branded as Cowboys Casino, so they might have some games running. The Elbow River Casino has a poker room, but they mainly spread LHE, so I've never set foot in there. A couple other casinos in the city (Grey Eagle and Cash) are dumps ---- I've only been to them once ---- doubtful they would have PLO running.

I've only played about 3 times in Calgary because I have a real disdain for 9 or 10 handed PLO. The variance is high (shocker I know) but the players are generally terrible so that makes up for it.

Thx, I'll pass it along. We were under the impression that Omaha was a lot bigger in Calgary.

I was at Deerfoot last night. There were exactly zero PLO games running.

Murray played well, just not well enough. Always supported him as a fellow brit but never really liked the guys attitude. After watching his speech though, I've completely changed my opinion.

He's a great player as well...grand slam is around the corner...it's bizarre that he hasn't won one yet. How many tennis players have been ranked number 2 in there careers but NEVER won a grand slam?

Àlex Corretja, Magnus Norman, Tommy Haas.

Marcelo Rios was ranked #1 and never won a title.
