I'm trying hard not to get too excited about this, but I can't believe Bitar would do this for any reason that would not allow PS to acquire FTP and make US players right.

Probably the Lawyers already have this all worked out. PS will buy FTP, US players will get their monies (but DOJ could still screw this up with execution), CAL and Nevada can move forward with licenses once all legal scrutiny is removed.


All speculative of course, I thought we would have legal online/sanctioned/taxed poker here in the US 6 months ago, but if we are playing in December, then 18 months is pretty quick given all the moving pieces.

Nice win for Antonio Esfandiari in the one drop million-dollar buy-in event. I haven't watched poker on TV in quite awhile, but it was really entertaining. Showing the hole cards at the end of the hand is a much better than the normal hole card cam. 18M first place. Not sure of deals and how much he had of himself but nice win regardless. Also, Hellmuth's bust out interview included a weird rant about "white magic."

I like this format a lot b/c I can actually think some about the hand/what my range would be in certain spots.


Not sure how it would work for a televised cash game, but think it deserves a try, assuming the commentator was like Haxton, Galfond etc. (Would like to see both in the game also though, so Idk.)
