Question.. Anyone else feel merge ending rakeback is going to hurt regs on the site.. in the sense that new players will be less likely to join merge if they can get rakeback elsewhere? I mean total noobs won't know the difference, but anyone with knowledge of rakeback whether they be fish/bad/decent/whatever type players will be more likely to take their game elsewhere, no?

You need to sign up for the skin through a rakeback site; sending an email after you've signed up probably won't help.

that's like saying PS regs were hurt because PS didn't offer RB, but rather a volume-incentivized reward structure

i don't think the rakeback issue will end up hurting the player pool as much as people think. merge will probably offer some other vip type program. also, i doubt any recreational player/fish is really basing their decision to play on a site on rakeback.

Fair enough.. was just wondering what the feeling was. I mean we know they're stopping RB for new players june 1st but there hasn't been any sort of hint at a VIP program, unless I missed it. PS also had a lot of other things going for it tho, split. Course merge is one of the only games left in town for US players so they have that advantage.

I know this would just be speculation at this point, but do you expect that players on merge who are grandfathered in with RB would receive less from a VIP type program, if and when that gets implemented?
