There always seems to be a couple opponents, that no matter what I can't beat, I'm sure alot of people have to feel that way about someone. One of them is this PhilGalfond guy really spewy, but he just owns my soul and I go out of my way and get owned some more. MDoran owns me as well, but I guess hes a pro, so he should.

Re: ***OFFICIAL MERGE POKER REGS THREAD***

Does anyone else find that for Black Chip Poker the rake they calculate you paid is waaaaay different than what PT3 is reporting? I only ask because for rakeback, everyday it seems the rake the report is much lower than what PT3 shows, so thus I am getting less rakeback... Anyone else find this to be true?

PT3 does not account for the BBJ tables or for the fact that its weighted contributed rake.

Tbh PT3 is just complete garbage in general.

I use HEM2 personally, but have a top end computer to support it.

HEM1 is miles ahead of PT3, PT4 also seems like a huge improvement.

I don't play on BBJ tables, but is the weighted contributed rake going to be much different?

Also I can't use HEM, I have a mac.

If you are staying with PT3, you can get a custom stat (or build it yourself) that accounts for contributed rake. PT4 has that one built in.

I'm running XP via virtual box on Lion, hem1 works fine. You could also checkout parallels or VMware fusion.

I mean, I'm fine with PT3. I've looked through some of my HH's. They are using the correct formula for the rake. It seems Merge uses a different formula so that they can pay back less, because the amount of rake paid should be how much you lose everytime you win apot that is taken out.

Re: ***OFFICIAL MERGE POKER REGS THREAD***

Merge calculates your rake for RB using weighted contributed and you must see a flop* (I think). So the rake you paid on a hand is ((amt you put into pot)/(total pot)) * (total rake for hand)

The method you are describing is just to show how much was taken out of a pot you won. If they used that for RB, then only the winner of the hand would get RB paid.
