That is true now but before the apocalypse on BF, I think there were more newbies playing slightly higher stakes and they were softer. Who wanted to join online and play 2nl? They wanted to jump in the water and show all the "smart guys" a thing or two and I think you'd see that up to 25nl on FT regularly. They didn't last long but there was a somewhat steady influx of them. Alas, no more.
