Keeping just a small amount on there as well.

I am essentially starting all over and it sucks. Starting back at the lowest level and building from there. I'll be getting my BR back from Stars soon, but I am hesitant about resuming at the stakes I was at there. I was moving up steadily and had some goals in mind, but I still consider myself a beginning learning player. If a lot of the higher stakes guys are sitting at 25nl and 50nl, then I may just be out of my league at this time.

You guys that moved over, what's your take on the play? 25nl similar to Stars? Tougher? I am finding at 4nl that there are still a ton of guys that play >30vpip and I already have notes on several that are playing >50vpip. What I don't see is that even down at 4nl, they don't stack off as easily as the 5nl and 2nl players did. It still seems soft, but not as soft as Stars in the same general area.

yeah i don't think the games are terrible. i think people are just whining too much.

people are complaining because its different than what we are use to. That is what people do.

I am personally going to use this as an opportunity to play more sites, take advantage of different promotions and not feel tied down to any one site. Sure I like Iron Man, Black Card, FTP, Rackback races etc. but in the 48 laws of power one needs to learn to "despise the freelunch" those frequent reward program (all of them) are design to modify ones behavior. Frequent Flyer programs will make people take different flight just so they rack up the points. Same with hotels, paying with CC.....well now the chains are off.

The one thing I liked most about FTP, probably also hurt me as a poker player. It was pretty easy for me to fire up my tables at my stakes, play FR and accomplish my goal (which because of the IM, BC, RB, etc. turned to be more volume based than anything else). Now that is gone, I will have to play across more stakes (really working on my table selection), differrent games, (adding some 6-max, HU will make me better in the long run), and try to play other games like PLO8, Horse, etc.

My two favorite things about Rush:

1. no table selection
2. no PTR

starting and pausing a Rush session are pretty sweet too. I miss Rush.

BTW, how do people withdraw on Merge?
