Is running a 20/16 a bad thing? I was previously(pre black friday) a consistent 16/12. Not sure why after a 2 week hiatus I would be running so much higher, unless it's just the excitement of gambling again. It most likely is due to playing 8 tables instead of 12, and instead of open folding the damn KTo in the CO, I raise it.

Your stats should be governed by table conditions and players active in the pot.

What kind of hand sample is it over? Are you playing at insanely nitty tables where you have a greater chance of being able to open AND steal easy blinds? (This is generally the case when I find my stats getting around the 22/19 mark).

The tables seem to be loaded with regs running 14/10 so I tend to open a lot more hands when they are in the blinds, as they just don't play that many hands OOP. I've also been tooling around with isolating fish with a wider range. We are only talking a 2k hand sample, so not a whole lot to go on yet. We'll see how the rest of the month plays out, but for now I think I need to nit up a bit. I might drop down a level and play more tables to see if this can get me back into a better groove.

I've only played 3.5k hands at 10NL merge. PT3 says I'm 22/16 with ATS 55%. Flat redline. At 50NL Rush I ran 18/13 this year with an ATS of 48%

22/16 is quite a spread but I think at 10NL there are lots of profitable spots to call in LP.

you guys do realize your notes don't disappear though right? So once you notate someone on cake even if you change your name, the notes are there.. Back in the day when I was bum hunting like 10 sites.. Cake was an awesome awesome place!

Also how are you guys multi-tabling on merge? Stacking? No auto timebank = bull****!

Anyone else having issues getting pt3 hud to run? It wont pop up for me a lot of the time and ive checked and rechecked, and rechecked every setting to make sure its proper, downloaded the newest version and all my hands import fine...the hud just will not seem to run properly no matter wtf i do.

Works fine for me... only thing that I had to do was make sure that the hands come from the right place and set the preferred seat or whatever.

Software still tilts the **** out of me though.

I've played a few hands now and went to my computer's HD to look at some hands and begin to figure out how to import them into HEM. However, the files are .xml and viewing them directly from my HD is impossible.

Just a quick question, is everyone importing straight into HEM with the .xml format? I can just import from the folder and everything will be fine?

Apparently the Merge network will be getting rid of rakeback on June 1. I'm not sure what this means for the network, but it's just not good news in general.

I read that as being only new players won't get rakeback after June 1st... are you saying that existing players will lose theirs too?

Are they going to a new vip system or something?

Yeah here's the article. I'm not sure about the exact details and I didn't mean to spread fear. When I first heard the news, I thought it was devastating, but then I did some research. I'm not sure why they would do this and what their plans are. Are they trying to phase out RB and implement a good VIP system?

I your right that it's only for new players...

********** makes a great point about this being some marketing ploy to get traffic up on Merge.

Also supply and demand economics. Scaling up to PS/FTP size is not easy. Merge may not be able to meet the demand for their services in which case raising prices (e.g. by reducing rakeback) is standard free market behavior.

yeah good point. also, merge does not have to offer this rakeback if it costs them a lot or if there are other alternatives like better vip programs that would increase revenue. They hold a very large market share in the US online poker scene and cake/bodog are just not good enough even with rakeback to take away too much business from merge.
