So up until tonight I was actually up about 2 buyins but I've lost 5 so far tonight in some really frustrating hands. Here's one that I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get away from.

No Limit Hold'em $0.02/$0.05
PokerStars
7 players
Formatted by pokercopilot.com - Mac OS X hand history analysis and tracking

Stacks:
UTG - UTG ($11.62)
UTG+1 - UTG+1 ($3.88)
MP - MP ($1.59)
CO - Hero ($6.75)
BTN - BTN ($1.39)
SB - SB ($6.19)
BB - BB ($4.01)

Preflop: ($0.07, 7 players) Hero is CO with Jc Ks
UTG calls $0.05, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, 2 folds, BB calls $0.10, UTG calls $0.10

Flop: 8h Js 3d ($0.47, 3 players - UTG: $11.47, Hero: $6.60, BB: $3.86)
BB bets $0.49, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.49

Turn: 6d ($1.45, 2 players - Hero: $6.11, BB: $3.37)
BB bets $0.48, Hero calls $0.48

River: 6c ($2.41, 2 players - Hero: $5.63, BB: $2.89)
BB bets $2.56, Hero calls $2.56

Total Pot: $7.53
BB shows Kh Kc (two pair, Kings and Sixes)
Hero mucks Jc Ks

BB wins $7.22

I didn't have an over pair in his range at all seeing how he flatted my raise pf. Is there anything I missed here that could have helped me get away in this spot?

This isn't really the thread to post hand histories in, in future go onto the micro full ring page and make your own thread there. i'll let you off this once cos you're new here

i might actually fold flop given it's 4 way and he pots it, not sure about this though and only cos it's 4way. as played, river is an easy fold imo when he bombs

I want to filter all hands, where there was a bet made by me on the flop, someone raised it and I called and hand went to showdown. How to do that ?

Use this filter:

Bet made by me on the flop = TRUE
Someone raised it = TRUE
I called = TRUE
WTSD = TRUE

Edit: browsing on mobile is tricky, I thought I am in HEM2 thread, rofl

Went to the casino tonight with a couple friends who wanted to play blackjack so I got to sit and play 1/2. 6 fish, and 2 LAGs were seated. I made 60bbs in the two hands I played which took about 45 minutes (friends all busted). The game was 100x softer then anything I've played on stars, I think more then half the pots were limped around to the bb haha.

Welp, let's get back to grinding (and losing) .2/.5!

Stars have just announced they will be tightening up their software rules and this could see limits put on things like Notecaddy etc. they've also said they will be making more drastic changes in the future as well.

On my phone so can't link to it but it's in the '3rd party software...' thread I'm the Internet poker forum. Steve announces upcoming changes near the end of the thread.

As long as basic HUDs are allowed, all is well.

Even without them I think those who are willing to make notes would come ahead eventually (but extreme styles like hyper-aggros and nut-peddlers would prosper short term for sure).

The challenge for grinders would be how no HUD impacts the ability to multi table.

Well I was never a real mass multitabler so can't say but I was under impression most of them try to play fairly simple balanced styles. Certainly players who 24-table don't do much fancy stuff.

you always try to exploit people, that is what stats are for and why you use them? this is maybe not "fancy", but to just play the same range at every table against every opponent I dont think works that well?

I am sure opening ranges are for the most part fixed in EP/MP. HUD is mostly important preflop in 3bet situations and postflop when there are unusual lines. Still balanced play would come out on top especially if a player would take some time every day to review hands and make notes.

even without huds and specific reads is there still a need to be balanced? cos you can still have population reads which you can exploit. for instance if the population is underbluffing rivers then you can overfold to triple barrels.

You are correct. Still, to come to that conclusion you would have to review hands and make notes, no?

i thought it's more about getting a feel of how people play at your limit through experience

Just because people generally don't 3 barrel doesn't make folding to 3 barrels correct vs every opponent

yea but without huds we're essentially readless.

The new rules won't extend to no huds. Even if no hud, you will be able to track and make notes.

it's hard to do that when mass tabling or multitabling zoom. but yea you're right it is possible just more difficult
