i mean i use to hate the idea of zoom but at the end of the day i find it way more convient as i dont have to spend energy constantly table selecting and leaving a table as a fish bust after 20 hands & if i need to eat or take a crap my game can be paused for as long as i want without getting kicked off the table
+1 to all of this plus being able to start and stop sessions immediately as opposed to over the course of 30+ minutes in startup and shut down times of 10-20 minutes depending on how many troll tables you end up with where someone sits out ahead of you. And the huge benefit of being able to focus way way better.

And I would argue the dynamic is still there too in some form but it's a player vs player dynamic at zoom as opposed to a player/table vs player dynamic at regular tables.

btw I thought legitimate table selection used to be considered part of a skillset, or are all table selectors now considered bum hunters?

Would you rather share a fish with the 7 other regs sitting at your table or the 300 other people playing zoom that will get a shot at the fish? When a fish sits at a fr table he's not going anywhere. He is yours until he busts or decides to leave the table and if he does leave you can just search him and get on the wait list for whatever table he is at. In zoom this is not possible.

The flip side of zoom is that it limits the number of tables the regs can play while boosting the number of hands the fish are going to play, so yes while you might not have your own personal fish -- and you're not going to get the jesus seat on 15+ tables anyways-- the ratio of fish in the pool is higher making the overall game softer and the biggest effect any one reg can have on a 1 tabling fish is 4:1 rather than 12+:1.

And with the state of the waitlists on regular tables, it's not like you're ever going to get a shot at a whale anyways unless you happen to already be sitting when he logs in and he happens to join your table. There's no following them around because by the time you do a search and waitlist, it's going to be 8+ long and no one's leaving that table.

+1 fish should be drawn to zoom more than regular tables, most of them play like 1 table & end up waiting 30 seconds for a reg to make a move causes hes on 24 tables or whatever

put it like... go join 16 random tables without leaving any of them the entire session at your stake then go play 4 tables of zoom & tell me which you th ink is softer or will yield a higher return

p.s .. @ enigmatic.. i have gotten better at poker this year............ by extreme bum hunting though & learning to beat the fish better duh, playing regs is a waste of my time...

i was overly rude, i apologise. At the end of the day and it's your hourly that matters. This increases your (short=term) hourly, so it works. It allepends on your goals really, and whether you are prepared to forego some short-term hourly for longer term increased rewards.

The problem with Rush/Zoom is although there are still plenty of fish even the fish have decreased their VPIP because they can simply throw monsters like J2s away now while waiting for J7s. So yes although they are still there they have unbeknowing become better players just because of the fast fold button.

I guess one plus of Zoom is that it does take some mass multi tablers out of the regular games which has got to be good for the games hasnt it?

Some guy scores 113 points in Lebanese Basketball Championship.

I know - no defence for the win, but even without defence it's pretty hard to score 113 points lol. He shot 59 3-pointers and hit 32.

In before - he should be in NBA!

Agree but as a balance, regs make so many stupid spewy mistakes it kind makes up for it.

lol, today I decided I would play for as long as it would take to get unstuck no matter what... Took me 9 fkn hours nonstop. (Only did this because I've not had a losing session so far this month and I desperately wanna keep it this way) Also, I remembered Mayo's supposed 50 hour session... Hehe.
