In this time of appreciation and reflection, it's helpful to look back over 2008 and be thankful for how we've all grown as poker players. It's also a great time to start planning for 2009; if you don't set specific and achievable goals with a plan to get there, you're just fantasizing and dreaming about where you want to get to. Let's post our results of 2008 (bullet points, graphs, summaries, whatever you want) and our goals or 2009!

2008 at a Glance
- Began by luckboxing/breaking even at 10NL
- Took a few unsuccessful shots at 25NL
- Finally had success at 25NL
- zomg doom switch, dropped to 10NL
- Worked hardcore on my game, where I made money
- Hit bankroll $1k, woohoo!
- Got staked, worked up to 50NL on Full Tilt
- Played probably close to 200k hands
- Went from "zomg 3 tables wtf do I do" to "8 tables, I'm bored, let's fire up 4 more"

2009 Goals
- First $1k month
- First $4k month
- Find my home somewhere between 100NL and 400NL
- Have a 100k hand month
- Find a comfort zone between 12 and 18 tables

So those are general goals, I still need to break those down into 6 month and 3 month goals. Also, I plan to review these once a month, possibly add to them.

2008

-Started on FTP with about $300 playing 10NL and barely beating the rake.
-Asked my friend to partially stake me at 25NL so I can play properly rolled and not get eaten up by the rake.
-Roller coaster ride of bad runs and play (mainly because I was experimenting with multi-tabling.
-Got sick of FTP and no rakeback moved $300 to stars, left $100 on FTP.
-Grinded 10NL, then roller coastered again at 25NL. Got fed up and started to work hard on my game.
-Got CR and DC subscriptions.
- Barely beat the games until this month.

2009 Goals

-Make a smooth transition from 25NL-50NL.
-Focus more on my game off the table, mainly with reviewing my sessions.
-Sleep less, play and study more (go from 1-2 hours sessions to 3-4 hours ones).
-Work out and start cooking for myself again (thus eat healthier).
-Start to mix in 100NL tables, maybe this time next year 200NL.
-Supplement my income playing poker.
-Buy my first cool thing from a online poker cash out.

- move to 50NL
- hit 1.2k bankroll
- first withdrawal, buy something nice with poker winnings
- shots at 100NL
- merge with fpdb, get HUD running
- 24" monitor, more tables

2008

- Going busto on NL10 at Full Tilt in september.
- 2 mil playmoney chips at stars.
- Sold playmoney chips and started my bankroll with $10.
- Grinded out $300 between NL2, NL5 and NL10.
- Took a shot at NL25 went well for about half a session, then major tilt and bankroll back to $108.
- Back to NL10 and grinded it out to $250.
- 2 BI shot at NL25, ran good, $634 bankroll by mid december.
- 8 tabling NL10 trying to play more loose.


2009

- Moving up to NL50
- Opening up my game from the current 13/8 to something a little less nitty.
- Buying a new computer before mine explodes.
- Try some mass tabling to see how that feels.

Edit: Stacking Dashman at least once, if possible with a set over set.

-Started serious cash game playing in october
-Started 24 tabling mid October
-Grinded 100k hands at 25nl with 4bb/100 even with a 30k breakeven stretch of learning 24 tabling
-Graduated college finally, and prepared to move to Arizona

2009
-Moving to Arizona
-lose 30lbs and get inshape for police academy in June
-play full time for 6 months
-play 150k hands a month, get supernova, be playing 100nl by June
-cash deep in sunday million
-learn as much as possible over the next 6 months about my game, and maybe put off police academy to play full time

- Began like past years playing SNGs
- Swithced to Micro Full Ring 5/10 level in March playing 1 table
- Initially sucessful, moved to 10/25 still playing 1 table
- In August tried 3 tabling and began to lose
- Delved in 25/50 (back to one table)
- Roller coaster ride and as of today, I am -$13.00

2009 Goals
- Be more selective in the tables I choose
- Improve my hand reading skills
- Improve my post flop skills (my largest leak!)
- Read and post more on 2+2
- Try to average 2 hours per day at the tables (double last year)

2008 highlights
-started mid way through a forum challenge vs WCGrider. Won $518 in a week at 25NL, but lost the challenge
-moved back to Stars
-played 9 months this year, taking sept-nov off
-hit supernova
-went to Vegas
-Met LC <3 and partypoker (man hug) plus some others
-came 3rd and 2nd on the challenges i ran (damn you trebek!)
-Have now had 25 consecutive months of winning poker (excluding the three i missed)
-profit of over $14k for the year so far


Goals for 2009
-hit supernova b4 June
-Move up to 100NL (not too interested in playing higher)
-keep having winning months

These goals are just until June, as i need to re-assess where i want to go in life.

Non poker goals
-qualify as a teacher
-try to incorporate a healthier balance in my life (diet and exercise)
-meet up with more of you lot (yes, even Sounded Simple would do)

-Started Playing seriously around August- September
-Sold 15 Mil play money for 100$ to start broll
-Started at 1.75$ 18 man turbos
- quickly moved to NL10
-Now at NL100
-PT3 broke due to SQL server being broken, so had to fix leaks by my own knowledge
-Started Mass-multitabling, at 20 right now

2009

- Become Supernova
- Move up to NL600-1k by the end of 2009
- If Above happens, play poker full time once finish school
- Be in a WSOP final table
- Get my PT3 fixed lol

I didn't have any goals for 2008 because I was still playing 2NL in December of 2007.

2008 Recap:
- deposit $50 in December 2007 (I had turned 17 a week prior to depositing)
- grind that up to $75 and then down to $25 playing $1 STT's
- discover NL cash games at the end of December 2007/Beginning January 2008
- grind from 2NL to 25NL in 3 months
- spend 5 months at 50NL
- play only 20k hands from September to the end of November because of University
- now I am a 100NL reg on FTP with an adequate bankroll for 200NL and looking to move up shortly
- finish up with a yearly profit of ~$7000

2009 Goals:
[ ] 1000NL reg
[ ] Start playing HU and 6max more than FR
[ ] Make 100k between bonuses, rakeback, and actual winnings.
[ ] Pay my parents back for my first year of school, and pay for the second year myself
[ ] Buy a car
[ ] Get into amazing shape
[ ] Become of legal age:P (this one is going to be hard to fail)

2008 highlights:

- Started year as micro MTT grinder made about $5k in mtt's/sng playing low volume over 6 months.

- Play live pretty much exclusively until september in ridiculous 10% raked games up to 1knl and made a little over $10k there

- Decided to get serious about FR and started 24 tabling 50nl w/ a 2k roll on Sept. 1st. Have made just a tad under $10k online since then, and still have 40k more hands left this year so hopefully will cruise right into 10k or so profit.

- All in all right around $25k profit

2009 goals:

- $40k from poker (live/online/bonuses)
- 200nl minimum reg by years end
- Start coaching a ton
- get back into shape (sick of being lazy degen now)
- run 10k on July 4th
- get back into tennis/golf or both
- meet a ton of 2p2ers in Vegas
- remember nothing about my 21st bday (1 month away)
- make money on my first vegas trip (Feb 6th-9th)
- finish up Mechanical Engineering degree at GT
- get teaching degree
- decide wtf I'm going to do when i graduate
- gf? would be nice to have someone to blow money on

Hey guys - my December from hell is finally over. Finally gonna get back into it...

2008 in Review

-Started seriously in late July - luckboxed my way through 10nl and actually became OK at poker in mid September at 25nl.

-October was a great month for me - made 1k in just over 40k hands when I moved to 50nl.

-Beginning of November I took a shot at 100nl at the beginning of my doomswitch, resulting in a breakeven month. December I've put in all of 8k (!) hands and netted $-0.25!

2009 Goals

-Put in more volume (60-70k hands/month)

-Have more months like October

-Finally be at 100nl by mid January (damn vacations)

-Net +15k poker winnings

-THINK about the game as much as possible.

-Oct started playing 10NL got bored after 5k hands moved to 25NL

2009
-Work on game , join training site maybe get coaching
-Move up to 50NL & then hopefully 100NL+
-Play more !!
