Hello, is it ok to bet on Turn after Villains check?
I guess my big River bet was not the best line .... I hand no reads on his 3bet calling range. My River bet was of course just a pure bluff. I have bet against pairs because I think im not good with A high.

Against my bet he will fold his suited connector (ok thats not important because they are beat against my ace) and his pockets.

Cbet this flop IMO. It's not the worst flop given how badly we missed. We have back door everything and the PF betting lead.

If we'd barreled flop I'd certainly double barrel this turn in particular. But that's just me.

Not exactly sure what kind of bluff you're trying to sell here so I sort of hate the river bet

yeah I hate the river bet as well. If I am the villain here with 66 or something I'm calling because you're repping nothing. Overpairs would barrel before river, hands with 8 in them are hard for you to have with your 3bet and all, and you'd bet a K OTT.

You have a surprising amount of showdown value here with villain showing no interest in the pot, so I'm happy to check down as played. Sure you're occasionally losing to 22/44 etc, but those are also occasionally calling also so *shrug*.

Also agree with Turning that I'm betting flop and barreling on high card turns if called.
