Re: NL10 Zoom AQs c-bet oop

Based on villain's tight preflop stats and 5% 3-bet, his range is heavily weighted towards small/medium pocket pairs. When he calls the flop we can narrow more towards the medium pocket pairs, with the possibility of a hand like KQ.

Regarding bluffing (and I assume you mean leading rather than x/r) is what do we think villain thinks of us? What will he do with the 55-88 part of his range if we bet close to pot, given that we checked the turn and are now repping Kx?

Thanks for answer, and yes I mean leading river as played in my question.
I guess the most accurate description of how he should see me, is a standard regular with high steal-tendency preflop. Postflop he may see me with high agg% and as a guy capable of folding easy if raised.

In which case I tend to check; I don't think we're folding enough of his range. Also, we do have some small amount of showdown value versus his range if he does check behind.

I also tend to think that villains as a whole, with small/medium pocket pairs, are more likely to fold the turn to a second barrel, than fold the river after the turn got checked. (I suspect at higher levels, where there are more thinking players, the opposite could well be true, although I could be completely wrong.)

That said, we do have to have some bluffs in this spot (although probably nowhere near being balanced). The question is what hands we could have arrived at the river having taken the c-bet flop, check turn line, on this board, that are optimal for bluffing? And to ensure we aren't overdoing our bluffs, we should also think about how many combos we'd be now value-betting this river with having taken the same line to this point.

Cbetting is fine with the intention of barrelling any broadway turn. This turn is just a check-give up.
