So we talk a bit about monitors and 24 tabling and such, but I don't think we've had a thread where we can show off our busto/robusto setups.

This is where I do most of my play:

Dual 24" with a custom built computer that I'm in love with. Going to buy a 30" soon for no real reason other than it's cool. Notice the important items in this picture:

- 5 hour energies
- Aderrol (sp?) pill on top of 1 of the 5hr energies
- Lots of empty soda cans
- Dirty Plates
- Mah Monkey

Then I also have this setup just to the left:

Crappy old dell running to the 50" Samsung HDTV. Currently w/o an internet connection b/c Georgia Tech don't like me, so it's pretty much just a media center at this point.

Important things:
- Rockband drums
- Xbox 360 w/ no internet
- More dirty plates
- Guy on TV caught in the middle of an "O" face

You guys have crazy setups compared to mine. I'm running a pretty nice Dell computer with a 20inch widescreen / 19inch flatscreen setup. Maybe I'll put up pics some other time. ;P

I also don't have a printer, because I don't believe in printing anything. I memorize anything I need to know.

does anyone use a big screen HDTV for multitabling? I'm working on hooking up my dell dimension 4700 (2.6GHZ P4; 1GB RAM) with an ATI Radeon HD4550 video card (that has HDMI output and can get 1920x1080 resolution) to my new 67" 1080p DLP Samsung, and was wondering if anyone else has followed the same path......

I tried that on my 42" lcd and it just showed up stretched out. Like I could see each pixcel/dot.
However I think theres a number of things wronge with my setup. (no hdmi, entry level video card etc.)

I just bought a HDMI/Digtial adapter for the bigscreen, so no more analog!!! I will set it up after this deuces cracked video and let you know how it runs.

hate playing on my LCD screen, only use it for movies, sports and PS3 imo.

pics of setup when my new one has arrived (end of month after vacation I hope, chair already there though) but will be pretty standardish 2 - 24" samsung screens with a custom PC and, very important, extra quiet keyboard...

so basically pretty much like notontilts setup except that my desk is way cooler ;-)

Yeah, I was meaning to ask - how do you connect your computer to a TV?

HDTV's have VGA inputs and if that doesn't work you can go the S-video route. Some poeple use DVI as well but AFAIK most computer don't have that standard.

A few points:
- if you use VGA or DVI, you'll need another cable to connect the audio to the TV. An HDMI connection will provide both audio and video.

- S-video is analog signal, right? sometimes doesn't work well with digital TV's.

- Make sure to sync up TV and computer resolution settings and refresh rates (usually 60Hz on TV).

If you want a cheeeeeeeeeeeeap video card with HDMI interface for your computer to only use for carrying digital standard and/or high definition to the tv, ATI radeon 3450 (256MB; sux for everything else like computer gaming graphics) for $23 at ewiz.com

Notice the Tim's --> Excellent for late night sessions imo.
So the rest of my setup is pretty ****ty compared to the rest of yours:

-Old particle board desk $5 garage sale deal - I like the blacktop though
-Cheap ancient speakers from university (back in the day, 5 years ago) cause I don't play video games much anymore
-Expert HP printer from back when I was doing a lot of graphic design ****, best quality you're going to get from a $180 printer
-PS2 USB headset for recording videos/skype/AIM cause I don't play SOCOM anymore - plugged it into my PC one day cause I was a desperate PC mic noob and hey what do you know!
-Standard mouse and keyboard cause I'm too cheap to buy batteries for wireless and too cheap to buy spensive rechargeable set.
-Required reading materials - I owe Ed and Dave ~S$10,000 for that book.
-Random Hydro bills that I have to pay yet.
-19" Widescreen Samsung

HP a6030n bought 1.5 years ago with your 10NL donations
AMD Dual Core 4800+ 2.5 GHz
2GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256MB

I am working on adding a 24" widescreen. I'm thinking this:

Oh and my monkey was climbing into his little box for shipping as of this morning.
