So for those of you who have been here a while have likely noted, this forum doesn't get as much strat discussion as it did before Black Friday. It is not alone.

After a lot of discussion, it has been decided to merge several NLHE forums to hopefully make each one more viable and full of good strat discussion.

Here is the current plan:
Quote:
Live Low Stakes NL - (untouched)
Online Low Stakes Short-Handed NL - (uNL, SSNL, HUNL)
Online Low Stakes Full-Ring NL - (uNLFR, SSFR)
Mid-High Stakes Short-Handed - (MSNL, HSNL)
Mid-High Stakes Full-Ring NL - (MHFR)
So what does that mean for this forum? It will be merged with the current Small Stakes Full Ring NL Forum and the new forum will be for Full Ring discussion from $.01/.02-$1/2. All threads from the current forums with replies from 2016 or newer will be in the new forum, and all links should still work (they did when we did this with the Limit Forums).

So if you have any major concerns about this plan, please post them ITT. Barring major issues we haven't considered already, this change will happen in about a week. It should be pretty seamless.

Online FR is dying so bad. I thought this forum was dying then I looked at SSFR. There's threads from January on the front page.

What's the reason behind this? I mean I know Black Friday happened but that was a long time ago. I've started playing again for the first time in years and the cash games on Pokerstars seem busy enough (but then again I only play 4 tables at a time max).

It's really weird. Live fish love full ring and hate playing short handed I dunno why online fish would feel differently. If games are built around fish 6 max should be the game that's dying.

I'm a total fish at fr these days but that doesn't stop me.
Browsing atound the forums it seems there's quite a few people coming back to poker after some years out. I reckon there's good times ahead for all you competant players.
Might need to unmerge the fr forums back again soon

I think it may just be the different dynamics between live play and online. Live you can sit and interact with people at a table whereas online you don't have that so sitting around waiting for hands maybe isn't as appealing.
