How to transition from zoom to normal full ring? How to transition from zoom to normal full ring?

So after reading multiple posts saying zoom has such small edges and after doing ok at it I figured that it might be better for my development as a player to play traditional full ring but having never actually played it I think I'll struggle to adjust to the slow speed, so basically my question to you guys is do you think I should switch formats and if so how should I go about it? Or will the opportunity to amass large amounts of hands be better than maybe making a few extra bucks?.

The nice thing with Zoom it that you can really focus since you only have 4 tables. You can take more time for every decision too. Downside is that there are no 60% vpip fish because of the format.

As for the ring tables, there are excellent to put volume in. 24 tabling = 1500 hands/hour, 4 tables zoom = 900 hands/hour. Regs are better though I found compared to Zoom regs. Still, there are more fish at ring tables.

All in all, play whatever you feel most at ease with, although I would not recommend playing 24 ring game tables without table ninja.

Ah, and I also think we need to play a bit tighter in ring games and just wait for a value hand against the fish. Zoom, more steal opportunities, everyone fast folds, etc. Need to play much more loose from HJ-CO-BTN, and 3bet relentlessly those opens out of the blinds.

You prob could just load up as much tables as possible without table selecting reg tables & its effectively similar to zoom. The differences with doing that is:

1. You could be stuck at some bad tables which doesn't happen in zoom cause your always switching & therefore may have to leave some tables.

2. If your a full ring player in zoom a big difference is that normal tables will force you to sometimes play hu or short handed, granted vs fr players who cant play these formats well but still you have to adjust to that.

Overall though the biggest reason to switch to normal tables is to table select, if your not looking to table select then its kinda better to just stay at zoom cause there isn't too much advantages otherwise.
