villain is kinda bad & laggy, called my big raise on turn with bare oesd some hands before this one (and sucked out for a stack). I didnt 3bet for a while, so decided to 3bet this, altho it might not have been the best decision since he defended pretty light. He should see my 3bet range as tight tho. he was playing smthing like 50/45, 3B25, i was pretty tight on that tbl - 35-37/30, 3B12

I wouldnt be surprised to see a small ppair here, fdraw or smthing like KT or pure air. whats my best line?

Button ($72.49)
Hero (SB) ($87.65)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4, 8
Button raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $5, Button calls $3.50

Flop: ($10) 2, 2, K (2 players)
Hero bets $6.50, Button raises to $15.20, Hero ???

If he's defending 3bets light and he's bad & laggy you generally want to be 3betting for value and nothing else.

Calling kind of sucks cause if we miss on the turn then we almost always have to give it up on the turn. We could call then c/r on the turn but at that point he's going to feel more committed to the pot and be more willing to stack off with weaker hands.

I would either shove or 3bet to commit ourselves & call, his range consists of so many hands that can't call. The board being paired makes it even more likely he's raising with air here.

But yeah don't 3bet 48s against someone who is both bad & laggy and defends light. He's going to be floating/raising a lot and you're never really going to hit the flop hard enough to continue.

Villain's range of K's is pretty small assuming he 4bets AK, so shoving is pretty good... especially since even if he has a K he's rarely going to be raising with it.

I'm not an expert, but it would seem that his range is somewhat weak in this spot especially if he's defending a lot. He's probably just trying to bluff you figuring you didn't hit. Ship it on the flop.

Question: If we were villain and we had TT or 77 should we just call this flop and try to get to showdown?
