villain is 33/27 but only 30 hands ....

as he was first in i guess he was raising with about any hand! any suited any pair any 2 cards which are 9+ .. i called PF hoping to flop a set looking at his big stack!

flop was good! but he was gonna contbet with anything! i minraised flop feeling that he cant fold to this "weak bluff" from me. also if i raise flop he would not think about my set (am i right?)

The turn! now he caught his straight? ... i still bet turn first .. why? he may have flush draw i cant give him free card .. or i just wanted to see his reaction? but somehow i felt it was value bet ... and he raised ... he really got 8 or 3? why he raised so small then? but i cant fold right? i 3b instead thinking i am against random cards!

Finally the good card came for me on the river. I was lost with my handreading again. I was absolutely sure he cant have higher FH. how much do i bet how? allin? as he raised me on turn he has something .. straight perhaps ... (then why did i reraise him on turn against straight? stupid play again?) i bet 50% of the pot .. he called as expected .. may be it was better to bet allin? i was a bit affraid that if i bet allin he may now fold 3 straight thinking that i may have not only FH but 8 as well ... i need help again.

i usually never minraise flop in NL! those 2 hands are exceptions. The first 1 was just badly played by me ... absolutely horrible. But as for this 1 i still like my flop play. why cant i minraise here? yes .. i am giving him good adds to chase draws! but from the other point of view i have odds for FH as well. BUT i want him to pay me later with overcards overpairs or nothing. If i now raise flop big he folds a lot of hands! if i minraise flop he is now absolutely unsure what i have. He may even think i purebluff .. he called river BTW! so he could never believe i have FH. i may only admit it was a bad flop play if you explain that i am giving him good odds to chase draws .. is it that matters? i am much more unsure about turn and river ... also .. imagine i raise big on flop and on turn he bets or raises big too? so i will have to fold set on BIG pot? sometimes i will not have odds against straight ... also .. you see .. he minraised turn too! he is having a good hand but somehow affraid! i feel it was because of my flop raise ..

why the hell do you want to give him good odds to chase draws?

And if you are worried about getting value from an overpair, how much do you think he's putting in with pocket aces after the turn if you're shoveling money in?

Bet way more on the flop try to set up a good STP ratio by the river, also why again dont you feel good about your hand?

i dont! my point was that he more often WILL NOT HAVE ANY DRAWS here ...
i may be mistaken ...

as i understand those kind of players may even allin on turn with pocket aces or like if no scare card comes (he may also be affraid of my straight if it comes) .. thats why i wanted to see the turn card and deside ... but after his turn raise it was obvious for me that he cant have aces (he would just call my turn bet with them), also i guess ppl with his stats never fold aces to my river bet (imagine we do not have turn raises)

My biggest problem with this hand is you ended up with a boat against an aggro-donk and somehow didn't have your full stack in the middle.

mine too ... but again .. it is clear that as he did not 4b turn he was affraid (i am tight after all) so by that point i put him on 2pair, 7x or 3x may be even 8x ... would you call allin on the river with those? would he as played?

Bet more earlier in the hand and your river bet won't be so big.

i will try to make a habit of betting 75% or pot on flop HU ... though i usually bet that much with overcards nothing or top pair ... when i have something better i bet 50% ... i will check that later in my database when i have more hands ... still at about 10 000 hands in NL

ok, here's the thing. You need to put in a real 3bet on the flop because even if villain isn't on a draw, he will be scared off by one of the many turn cards that complete draws. And if he has a draw, you want to charge him a lot of money to chase.
