I was playing full ring but we were only playg seven handed.
$ .01/.02 NL Holdem
BTN: $2.02 (101 bb)
SB: $2.92 (146 bb)
BB: $1.98 (99 bb)
UTG: $2.40 (120 bb)
MP: $1.90 (95 bb)
Lojack: $1.98 (99 bb)
Hijack: $3.20 (160 bb)
CO (hero): $3.37 (168.5 bb)
Preflop: Hero is CO with J9s diamonds
UTG folds, limp, limp, fold, hero raise to 2 BB, BTN fold, SB fold, BB call, MP call, lojack call.
Flop: ($0.17) 5 6 10 all diamonds (4 players)
Checks around to PFR, I bet $.08. , SB folds, MP calls, lojack calls.
Turn: ($ 0.59) 9 spades
Check around, hero bet $0.20 , both players call.
River: (0.96) 8 hearts.
MP jams for $1.58, lojack folds, i tank and eventually call.
MP shows A8 of diamonds for a flopped nut flush.
Reasoning: i should have bet more pre flop in hind sight but with a hand like J9 i just wanted to have initative and position post flop plus if they limped in i would like to think i have a decent chance of having the best hand if i fqn connect on the flop.
Flopped a flush. Bet half pot for value. I would think this hand would play fone multiway as long as a fourth diamond doesnt come off. I wanted to get value but not scare of any kind of pair or straight draw type hands that are never catching up. They both call.
The turn gave me a pair so i kind of block nines but it makes 78 a straight plus any hand with a 7 8 J will probably continue. So i bet half pot and both players call. River is an 8 which puts four to a straight on the board which i think is good. People could be jamming to steal the pot , jamming because they made the straight, bluffing with just the ace of diamonds, I block the straight flush. Im not putting in 1.58 to win 2.54 on this bet and i thiught a flush would be good here a good enough percentage of the time to call. I remember thinking it would really suck if they flopped the joint but i think i have to call.
Sucky situation but stuff happens. Should i have gotten away from this?

J9s doesnt seem like the greatest hand to isolate and 2 bb seems small.
Bet more on flop and turn. I'm not folding river as played but not very happy.

A set wouldn't jam there, it'd be suicide on that board. You can basically rule out QJ because what would be the point of calling a flop like that with QJ for half pot 3 ways. Only things that call flop and jam river is 78d, 78s, and Axd. 1 combo 78d, 2 more combo 78s, and like 7 combos Axd so in hindsight it is a snap fold.
