I did not cbet the flop for pot control since I didnt like my kicker much. I also checked the turn since I knew he was really aggressive and that he would not check back the pot for a second time.
Now, do I raise the turn or do i just call? If just calling, I feel I'm keeping all the bluffs in his range, and that if I'm raising, Im getting called only by better hands...
I think this hand was perfectly played and you maximised as much value as you could out of the situation.
A raise at any point is just retarded. You get a couple of better hands to fold but every worse hand almost certainly folds to your raise so it's -EV. Remember this is nit-ring, not heads up.
bet the turn, he may not believe you have an ace, so you can bet again the river.
i think you didn't lose too much value, since his hand wouldn't pay you off big, i think it's ok as played, but in spots like that, checking the flop is ok, but after the ace, it's a turn and river value bets
I like checking flop and betting turn betting river for 2 streets of value, regardless of whether we trips up or not. You can always b/f river 3/4 pot yourself.
