I disagree with this...the reason lines are standard is because on the surface they are the most +EV; except when they are "common leaks" or there is advance higher level thinking going on.

Yes I agree that standard lines are generally the most profitable however I think there are definitely some spots where breaking away from standard lines are needed especially when playing against good regs at 50nl and above.

We are all told not to donkbet yet whenever some fish/reg donkbets into us, we end up confused.

I enjoyed railing the epic run KurtSF had, but I also think that he probably learned a lot about a wide variety of topics, from playing against such a huge field to keeping his cool as the final table started getting to be a realistic goal.

I think a thoughtful trip report on the tourney would be a very valuable addition to the COTW line-up.
You're not the first person to suggest I do a TR, but I think you are the first to suggest I do it from an educational perspective.

Honestly, I am very seriously considering changing my next topic (from Range Balancing) to a detailed trip report. First of all, its effing hard to write about range balancing and I already whiffed one attempt. But also I really did learn A LOT in those three days. I have a few days to think on it before I have to really start writing, but this is a strong possibility right now.

I have to apologize for my missing COTW. I had to deal in the last time a lot with private stuff (fianl exams etc.) and on top of that I quit FR around 6 weeks ago. I am really sorry that you guys here waited for this but I just forgot to write it.

I'm afraid to ask, but why do the hand covers have wires connected to them?

Wondering if anyone has, or plans to cover SPR for Micro FR?

Looked through the index and nothing jumped out at me.

Please please please! I'd really like to clarify my thinking on a few things, and won't have time for a second read for Professional NLHE for a little bit.

Yeah, a discussion of SPR in the context of how online folks at the uNLFR tables respond to different bet sizing would definitely get read by me.

I love the SPR framework established by PNLHE but I agree that their target SPR recommendations, based on assumptions about how the typical live player reacts, are off target for our games.

if someone does an SPR COTW I would be happy to share some of my writings on it with them (to at the very least help them frame it all)

D4, I see no problem if you'd prefer doing SPR. I'd rather have authors do something they WANT to write about.

For the rest: should we reschedule a "default lines" COTW?

Is this week's COTW (Game Theory) MIA? Or is it expected a few days late?

I don't see why it matters. It is not like we are running a business here and if a product is late then there is opportunity cost, reduced lifetime ROI for the product et cetera.

E.g. if 2 people completely flake (for what ever reason) and we only have 2 COTW in a month that is fine by me. Perhaps it is my laid back inner hippie manifesting again.
